  • 2. Help with updating values
I have the following problem: I have a form with many fields where you enter both numbers and letters. The results are uploades to a database and then dispayed in a results page by using a database results wizard. From that results page, you can click in a hyperlink and go to an update page. I have added the ID as a hyperlink parameter. you are then taken to another page where some fields are displayed (so they can be updated). I create empty fields and put a value to them with this string : <%=FP_FieldURL (fp_rs,"ID")%> for the ID, for example and <%=FP_FieldURL (fp_rs,"total")%> for a total value (which by the way has decimals). All the values show correctly in each field (as values that were entered before and could be updated) except for the number with decimals, which shows like this 4%2E95 (the number is supossed to be 4.95). Any idea why this happens? Regards, Samuel

Hi - I have been using Front Page for about 3-4 years now and love it. Today I have been getting an error message when I try to save as a page under a new name. The message reads Frontpg has caused an error in M009.DLL Frontpg will now close. I am using FP2000 and MS ME. I recently changed servers and they had some power outages this morning, but then things worked fine for awhile. Does anyone know what this error message means? Thanks in advance, Sue.

Passwords used by FP are "stored" using IE
In IE use Tools > Internet Options > Security
Click on 'Trusted' and on 'Custom Level'
Make sure the selection at the bottom is set to:
'Automatic logon with current username and password' and click OK
Click on 'Sites' and add your site URL in the 'Add this Web Site to the Zone', and OK, OK
- note: you may have to unselect the option: Require server verification (https)... to add your site

My form feedback to email (save results) does not work some visitors.
Instead, it prompts the visitor to enter a user name and password? The weird
thing is that it works for some computers. I have Frontpage 2003 and the
server is Go Daddy. Go Daddy has not been very helpful.
