  • 1. cannot rename file
I am trying to rename a file and get a server error saying I cannot rename the file, because the destination already exists. Here is what I did to cause the problem. I am working live. I made a copy of a page I wanted to change and worked with the original page. It didn't work out, so I deleted the original page. When I tried to rename the copy page, I got the error. The original page has been linked from a jump menu, so I removed the link in the jump menu, recalculated hyperlinks, and tried again. Same server message.
  • 2. Word Wrapping in FP 2003
I have an issue with word wrapping on smaller screens using Front Page as a web application. What I am asking is, how do I stop the words from wrapping? Currently, I am using tables and on the smaller screen it wraps if the line is longer than 20 characters. However, on a normal desktop it doesn't wrap at all. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Chris
  • 3. connection timed out publish error on exe, doc, swf files
Hi - I'm trying to publish my website using the "FrontPage" option. However, whenever FrontPage hits a file with a rtf, exe, doc, or swf extension (probably more) I get the "connection timed out" error. I can manually go in and choose "Don't Publish" for each of those files, but obviously that's not an idea solution. Using Windows XP and FP2003 on client and Windows 2000 Server as destination web server. Any ideas?

Passwords used by FP are "stored" using IE
In IE use Tools > Internet Options > Security
Click on 'Trusted' and on 'Custom Level'
Make sure the selection at the bottom is set to:
'Automatic logon with current username and password' and click OK
Click on 'Sites' and add your site URL in the 'Add this Web Site to the Zone', and OK, OK
- note: you may have to unselect the option: Require server verification (https)... to add your site

My form feedback to email (save results) does not work some visitors.
Instead, it prompts the visitor to enter a user name and password? The weird
thing is that it works for some computers. I have Frontpage 2003 and the
server is Go Daddy. Go Daddy has not been very helpful.
