Hi I am trying to develop a commonly used "Web-based email newsletter" and I don't know which of Publisher 2003 or FrontPage 2003 is the best and easiest tool for this task What I meant by "Web-based email newsletter" is a newsletter with HTML format, many graphics are not sent with the email but resides on server site, so the email size is not too large, and readers can see it when they have Internet access I know that this is common practice now. I am thinking to upgrade either of my Publisher 2002 or FrontPage 2002 to 2003 version and this is one of the most factors that I will include in my decision Can anyone share me with your experinces with either or the easiest way to do this task Thanks in advance.
  • 4. FrontPage 2003 Theme in Visual Studio.NET?
I've been using Visual Studio.NET 2003 for some time, and am floored by .NET, ASP.NET, the IDE... everything's great except for the lack of tools for making a great-looking site. So I purchased FrontPage 2003 today, as it touts integration with ASP.NET. It looks like there's some integration, but it's not obvious (to me) how to do the following, which I'd think would be the most fundamental use of the combo of these two apps: I'd like to generate a FrontPage site using a theme, then pull it into Visual Studio to add smarts. Are there any guidelines for this? Or do I need to experiment and pray? Thanks, Al Cohen

The drop shadow function is greyed out on the drawing toolbar. I've tried selecting a variety of image formats and it does not work with any of them although it is active for shapes and text boxes. Thanks for your help!

Passwords used by FP are "stored" using IE
In IE use Tools > Internet Options > Security
Click on 'Trusted' and on 'Custom Level'
Make sure the selection at the bottom is set to:
'Automatic logon with current username and password' and click OK
Click on 'Sites' and add your site URL in the 'Add this Web Site to the Zone', and OK, OK
- note: you may have to unselect the option: Require server verification (https)... to add your site

My form feedback to email (save results) does not work some visitors.
Instead, it prompts the visitor to enter a user name and password? The weird
thing is that it works for some computers. I have Frontpage 2003 and the
server is Go Daddy. Go Daddy has not been very helpful.
