  • 1. How To Make index.shtml As A Home Page?
Rename it, Rightclick it and select "Set as Home page". Regards Jens Peter Karlsen. Microsoft MVP - Frontpage. nntp://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.frontpage.client/< XXXX@XXXXX.COM > I would like to use some ssi on my home page, currently named index.htm. My website is running FP2002 extensions. I cannot seem to find anyway to change index.htm to index.shtml and keep it as my home page. It seems as though FP 2003 insists on index.htm as the only valid name for a home page. I have resorted on renaming index.htm to index.shtml with a FTP client on the server, which amazingly works without breaking the navigation structure, and then naming it back to index.htm before publishing again. Does anyone know how to make index.shtml as a home page with FP 2003? [microsoft.public.frontpage.client]

Why would FrontPage 2002 get an error 550 on one machine to a specific domain when attempting to publish, but be able to publish from other computers with frontpageto the same domain? I can't seem to find an answer in the knowledgebase, from support, or anywhere.

I now have several jump menus on one page (thanks to the help of this site). I would like to have the linked pages appear on the same page as the jump menus -- below them. Is there a way to do this using only FP. If not, is there a way to do this at all? How? Adela

Passwords used by FP are "stored" using IE
In IE use Tools > Internet Options > Security
Click on 'Trusted' and on 'Custom Level'
Make sure the selection at the bottom is set to:
'Automatic logon with current username and password' and click OK
Click on 'Sites' and add your site URL in the 'Add this Web Site to the Zone', and OK, OK
- note: you may have to unselect the option: Require server verification (https)... to add your site

My form feedback to email (save results) does not work some visitors.
Instead, it prompts the visitor to enter a user name and password? The weird
thing is that it works for some computers. I have Frontpage 2003 and the
server is Go Daddy. Go Daddy has not been very helpful.
