  • 1. Bookmarks to different sections on another page
I am creating a main page of which I wish to have hyperlinks to bookmarked areas on another page. The problem I am having is that I want to display only the bookmarked section of the page. When I create and display the bookmarked hyperlink on my main page in the frame, I not only see the text where the book mark is but I also see the rest of the page. So I only want a certain sections, say paragraph 2 and 3, to be shown in my frame when I click the hyperlink. How I created the bookmarked page. Created a blank web page, added the text/paragraphs, then at certain paragraphs I inserted the bookmark using a unique name for each one. So bookmark1 would be for paragraphs 2&3 and then bookmark2 would be for paragraphs 5&6. So how can you display only the booked marked paragraphs for bookmark1 when you click the hyperlink? Hope I made sense of this to you.
  • 2. Macromedia
Hello - This is my first time in this discussion group. Here's my question: I'm working in FrontPage 2003. Boss would like me to learn Flash (which he knows nothing about either except for using the term "Flash" over and over and over....smile...). Company already owns Macromedia Flash 5 and Macromedia Studio MX. Can someone give me a estimated timeline of which versions came first, second, etc...Do these work okay in XP? Would you choose not to use one or the other? Or, are these so out-of-date that - and please understand that I'm not trying to be ugly here - I should just chuck them and advise for newer versions? Thank you for your time and advice. -- Terri
  • 3. searchenigine and frames
The basis of my website is a table with frame. The content is renewed in the frame. Currently the website is indexed by searchengines. As a result a certain content page is found in google and when you follow that searchresult it shows the contentpage without everything else (navigation etc.). Is it possible to enclude something in the contentpages that ensures that everything is shown when found in a searchengine? Not only the contentpage but also the framepage in which it should be shown.

Passwords used by FP are "stored" using IE
In IE use Tools > Internet Options > Security
Click on 'Trusted' and on 'Custom Level'
Make sure the selection at the bottom is set to:
'Automatic logon with current username and password' and click OK
Click on 'Sites' and add your site URL in the 'Add this Web Site to the Zone', and OK, OK
- note: you may have to unselect the option: Require server verification (https)... to add your site

My form feedback to email (save results) does not work some visitors.
Instead, it prompts the visitor to enter a user name and password? The weird
thing is that it works for some computers. I have Frontpage 2003 and the
server is Go Daddy. Go Daddy has not been very helpful.
