1.Automatic Chart Expansion Problem
For years, I've be charting temperature variations. As I added new
data points, the chart automatically expanded to accomdate the new
datum. At 72 data points, the chart stopped expanding automatically.
Anyone know if this is a standard limit to expanding charts? Did I
accidently turn some feature off? Is there a way to fix this?
I'm running MS Win and Office XP with all updates.
Thanks
Mike

3.Chart automatic sum
I have a huge list of invoices in an excel table, and would like to create a
chart that shows the cumulative number of invoices sent by month. What is
the best way to do this? When I create a chart with the "Invoice Sent"
column highlighted, that data becomes the data range, but what I actually
want the data range to be is the row count of invoices sent. Also, when I
try to switch the X and Y axes so that invoice sent date is on the X axis, it
gives an error because there are too many values (max of 255). However,
there should only be a few dozen x-axis values when I'm done, because the
invoices only span a few years.
What is the best way to work around this? I would love to be able to do it
without subtotaling and then charting the subtotal results.
Thanks
4.automatic date in chart
In January, Jon Peltier replied to a question of inserting a date in a chart
that would dynamically change.
"select the title, type = in the formula bar, then click on the
cell. This works with chart titles, axis titles, data labels, and shapes
(text boxes etc)."
It worked perfectly for me, however, there seems to be a continuous
iteration of the formula. When I click on any of the charts I have added
this to, the calculation seems to begin and it (along with the hourglass)
continuously blinks. I click off the chart and it ceases. Any ideas why?
Thanks,

5.automatic updating in chart
In Excel 2003 I used scroll bars to set the limits on a dynamic range
of my chart. Basically, I used to "zoom in" on a particular section of
the chart. The chart would be instantly updated as I adjusted the
scroll bars. I am using the same method in 2007 but in this case the
chart is only updated when I release the mouse button. Am I stuck with
this type of performance or is there a setting I can change?
