I just did a virus scan with TrendMicro's houscalled, and it removed 10 trojans. Two of which were in outl32c.exe and outlkl.exe in the Outlook Express folder. When I say remove, I mean delete. Now Outlook Express startsup, I get the toolbar at the top but nothing else shows. It crashes. What can I do? I've downloaded and installed it, uninstalled what I have and reinstalled it, and every time I don't get these files. What can I do?

Tools in OE? This program keeps wanting to start even though I am not on the internet. I tried deleting it and a message came up that other ad powered software needed to be uninstalled first. My cpu usage fluctuates wildly when this program tries to get started but the cpu stats level off when I am connected to the internet winttoolsA.exe tries to access the ip 127.0.0 port 5400 . i suspect that this file was accidentally downloaded from some toolbar ad, buti can't get how to get rid of it. - 4. hi there for some my OE6 is acting very weird. first it takes forever to start up -- after clicked on the icon, msimn.exe just sit there (0% process power) and after 1-2mins the OE6 will shown up. however, after it showed up, the window doesnt work -- i can click on anything, mail headers wont display, nor resizing the window (but i can move it)... and it takes up 99% of the process power (my mouse is very sluggish). i have to kill it with taskmanager i tried to remove my identity (from file and registery), reinstall/uninstall ... but still the same any ideas ?? thx in advance - 5. When dealing with newsgroups I have a rule where if the message is from myself it's marked in red & tagged for download. Is there some way to then get the answers to my questions to also download automatically? -- Thanks in advance

You won't get those files because they aren't part of Outlook Express or Microsoft. Those were the virus. The files you should see in "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express" are: msimn.exe msoe.dll msoe.txt msoeres.dll oeimport.dll oemig50.exe oemiglib.dll setup50.exe wab.exe wabfind.dll wabimp.dll wabmig.exe What version of Windows are you running? Na. Didn't fix it. Did as the instructions said to no avail. I even deleted all identities and and it made a new one and this time it didn't get past the blue OE startup screen. I even tried changing which identity it starts up to from the registry, same thing. Back to where I started though. So now, whats up. Again whats happening is OE startsup, AIM startsup, I get an error about something that couldn't be sent and I'm left with the OE toolbar, and a big white area below it. Have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to get rid of it.
