Hi, I accidentally did a pc recovery on my notebook which removed all installed programs but luckily didn't touch my data files. When i restalled outlook w/bcm it couldn't find my database. Although, I back up my database weekly, after searching the computer, all I can find are the .mdf and .ldf files for it. Are these enough to reinstall my database and if so, how do I do so? My business depends on this information. I do have sql server mgmt studio express but haven't got a clue how to use it -- plus it's not connecting to any database, either. Recently I came across a problem and wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issues. For whatever reason, now when I click on the history tab from an opened account or contact, nothing is displayed. The tab highlights when i click on it but the body of the form doesnt populate emails, phone logs, tasks, etc. like it's supposed to. I have ~152298 history items, ~2000 contacts and ~1000 accounts in BCM. These problem seems to have began when I tried printing a BCM contact mail merge letter to a printer connected to a PC that had recently crashed and was inactive. I have no idea if this had anything to do with it but I didn't have problems prior to the crash. Since the problem occurred, I've done a BCM db repair, uninstalled, reinstalled BCM. Has anyone had similar problems and if so how did you remedy? Thanks in advance for your help. - 3. same here
i am having the same problem, i have just been in a chat with a tecnical member of staff from microsoft and after half an hour (plus an extra hour before when i was trying to work it out) he said he'd have to charge me 34.95 as it's a lot of manual work??? i said they shouldn't have an option for customising your view if you can't utilise it.. absolute rubbish having a program to organise yourself but not being able to save it :( be interesting to know if anyone manages to find a solution... for now i guess its default settings all the way :( - 4. Outlook 2007 with BCM - Out of Memory
I recently added Business Contact Manager 2007 to Outlook 2007 and initially worked. After installing Office Service Pack 2 I received out of memory errors. If I clicked on a certain folders it would say "could not view folder, out of memory". I have a current fast dual core, 4 gig of ram and plenty of hard drive space. All other programs do not experience the problem. I opened up 20 of them at once with no problems. I am using a shared database on a server running Server 2003. BCM is set to snyc with the local SQL server that it installs. If I pull the BCM off, outlook is fine. I have tried some of the other suggestions, but no luck.. Anyone have an Idea ?

Apart from its informational purposes, I believe it is only effectively used in conjunction with List Builder exports; i.e. Contacts with that checked are not sent to List Builder. You could experiment to get a more definitive answer.

5.Change fields on Details tab
I want to add spouse's birthday to the Details tab, but have not found a way to do this. All I can do is add it to the all fields tab. Is this possible? Even if I could just rename one of the personal fields names?
