    I recently followed an Microsoft online "Updates Available" prompt to update my Business Contact Manager. A few days later I clicked on "Business contacts" to do a mass mailing and all the old contacts were no longer there. Only the business contacts entered, since the update, were present. Did the update process automatically create a "holding file" for these businesss contacts that I can access and reload into BCM? To make matters worse, my Outlook.pst and Outlook.backup files only reload my Personal Contacts, not my Business Contacts. Any help would be appreciated. I am a reasonably experienced user but this one has me baffled. Thanks.

Business Contact Manager 2007 is supported in Office Professional, Small 
Business and Ultimate editions.

Business Contact Manager 2007 is supported with all High Value Office 2007 
So it should work with Office Enterprise 2007 & Also Office Pro Plus 2007

2.upgrading from Outlook/BCM 2003 to Outlook/BCM 2007

I recently upgraded my computer to Vista 32bit with a clean install. I 
backed up all important to another system before the installation. I also 
upgraded to Office 2007, including Outlook 2007. Then I installed Business 
Contact Manager for Outlook 2007. Now I would like to restore the backed up 
database from the previous version.

When I use the 'Manage Database' dialog and select 'Restore Database...", I 
then pick the Browse button and navigate to the location of my backed up 
database from the previous version. The name of my file is 
'MSBusinessContactManager.msbcm'. It was not password protected. After 
picking the 'OK' button, I get the message:

"This backup file was created in an earlier version 2.0.3606.0. It must be 
migrated to the current version 3.0.5625.0."

I then pick 'OK' and it looks like the restore is working. However, it stops 
and replys with this message:

"Cannot restore this database because you were not authorized to back up or 
restore databases when this was originally backed up. For more information, 
contact the database owner or the system administrator for more information. 
Your local database was not changed."

Now I'm worried... I have a few years worth of contact information and 
communication history. I would really like to restore this database. I 
didn't password protect the original database file and I backed up 
regularly. I never had a system failure, so I never needed to restore. I 
would think this would be a reasonable method for upgrading from an older 
version to Outlook/BCM2007. What other method should I have used?

BTW, after upgrading from Windows XP SP2 to Windows Vista 32bit, I used the 
same computer name, description, and am part of the same workgroup.

I don't want to go back to XP and reinstall Outlook/BCM 2003 to use my BCM 

How can I restore this older database with Outlook/BCM2007?

3.cann't upgrade my office SME (Including outlook with BCM)

I am trying to upgrade my office SME (Including outlook with BCM) from 2003 
to 2007, it won't install BCM - 
The steps performed:  
 1.           I have first installed the trail version over the 2003 and 
have it work without upgrading outlook to 2007 (remained 2003 with BCM) 
Office 2007 worked fine.  
 2.           Once I decided to have a full move, I have downloaded my Open 
licensed install files and installed them over the version I had. Then I 
removed outlook 2003 and installed Outlook 2007. The next step was to install 

the message I received:

I have repeated this attempt several times.  
Whenever I?m trying to remove the BCM (uninstall) I receive the following 
?Setup failed to remove the following product: Business Contact Manager for 
Outlook 2007?

I'm struggling with this issue for several weeks and it hurts my business.  
Please help ASAP.

5.Upgrade OL 2007 BCM to OL 2010 BCM Beta

I am in a real bind.  I loaded Office Pro Plus 2010 (Beta) which installed 
fine and running well.  My problem is trying to load in BCM.  I have 
attempted at 8 times and nothing...I have sent frowns to support and to the 
blog but I have not received a response.

The reason I am in a bind - as a condition of upgrade the OL BCM 2010 
installation deletes 2007 BCM.  I can't get 2010 installed and I don't know 
that I can reinstall 2007 BCM which I don't really want to, because I am 
anxious to work with 2010 because of all the new features.  In fact I was 
briefy with another CRM software, however, when I saw all the new features of 
2010 I thought I would go back.

This has not been a pleasant experience because it appears the BCM Team is 
responding to others but not my requests for assistance.

If you can suggest how I can get this issue resolved I would be greatly 
appreciative.  I do not have access to my data and it is hurting my
