    Searches done in Contacts or Business Contacts ignores field entries that are a result of a drop-down list. I think drop-down lists are an important feature to help eliminate typing errors and inconsistencies (Outlook should have/allow more of them). But if Search ignores any field entry created by a drop-down list, why even allow drop-down lists? What gives? Thanks, Rick

Your best bet is to convert them from Word into Excel.

Is the information stored in Word in some type of table? If you can get
the table into Excel with cut-n-paste, then you can map the Excel
columns to BCM fields and import it using the BCM wizard.

If not in a table, then your only other option is to save them to a
text file and then write a program to read the names and addresses form
the file and write them to a CSV file, and use the BCM wizard to
import the CSV file.

Hi,

You can do this in a few seconds with a program called Email Address
Collector. First save the contents of the doc as a txt file and then
just choose the txt file and the program will extract all the email
addresses from that txt file and directly export them to Outlook into
one or more contact folders or you can save them as a CSV list.

2.How to save and insert canned copy?

I want to be able to keep canned copy that can be easily inserted into a
document.

I used to be able to do it by typing in a key word and pressing F3 to insert
the copy.

3.Getting Outlook Contacts fieldnames

I am developing a routine in Word VBA that calls on fields from Outlook
Contacts.

I have been able to guess the names of most of the fields (simply taking out
the spaces from the export names). (So, First Name is "FirstName", Last Name
is "LastName", etc.)

But I cannot determine what the field name of "Company" is. I cannot guess
some of the others either.

Where might I find a list of the actual names by which Outlook refers to
itself.

5.Getting addresses from Outlook Contacts for Envelopes & Labels

I have Office 2007 and I've created a letter in Word to an old friend and I
wanted to create an envelope with his name and address. His name and address
is in Outlook's Contact list. However, oll that Word gets from the Outlet
Contact list is his name. I've also tried creating a label with the same
results.

Office 2007 is current with Microsoft's updates.

Thanks;
