  • 1. Filtering Business Contacts
I have been trying to filter both the Business Contacts view and filter contacts when using mail merge for multiple conditions on the same user-defined field with no success. Also, I can not find a way to change the sql statement when filtering the view from "or" to "and"; the window allowing you to change the sql statement only shows part of the sql statement so I'm not sure what is being done in the background. In all cases all records are returned when I try any of these conditions.
  • 2. Outlook 2003+BCM in Win7
Hi -- been trying to install my Office 2003 Pro, which includes Outlook and BCM, on a fresh Win 7 machine. The error: BCM will not install because it needs .net framework 1.1, which "has known compatibility issues" with Win7 and does not install. No alternatives for are suggested. I tried installing SP4, which should solve compatibility w/ Vista and Win7, but that won't run because there is no BCM -- right, that installation did not succeed. I saw a couple of threads on SQL Express 2005 compatibility, but it looks like that is not it. Any help appreciated, thanks Gijs
  • 3. How to set up BCM to conduct a fax campaign?
Hello, I am breaking my brain muscles to figure it out how to set up BCM to conduct a fax campaign. Hoping to do this without spending more time to learn and manage BCM as my fax campaign. What I am really aiming for is to create a reliable contact history file. This history starting with a fax sent out to business contact, automatically record fax replied and follow up phone conversations, maybe emails, letters as other form of communications. (The keyword is utomatically) Simply, I would like to link and bring it up to the screen all my communications I had with my business contact. Somehow, I am lost to understand the concept of MS BCM for Outlook 2003. So fare BCM appearing me as an overcomplicated email distribution tool. Thanks for any help or suggestions

Information store could not be opened

Postby SieBob » Tue, 12 Jul 2005 20:56:57 GMT

Hi there,

I have just installed the updated Business Contact Manager.
With the previous version, I never had any problems working in an
offline environment.

With the new version, every time I start Outlook offline, I get an
error message saying 'information store could not be opened' and I
don't see the BCM menu and I have no access to BCM data.
If I start online and then switch to offline, the problem does not
occur.

My outlook is set to work with an Exchange server.

Can anyone help me ?

Bob
