  • 1. Why does sqlservr.exe keep running after shutting down Outlook 200
Is this normal? sqlservr.exe doesn't start until I run Outlook, but then it continues to run after I shut down Outlook, keeping its greedy hooks in 15% of my total 2GB of memory. This seems odd to me! If I play Civilization into a late game (which is a memory and processor hog at that stage) after I've run Outlook I get stuttering performance and occasional lock-ups. I don't have this problem when playing after a fresh reboot. Any insight from a more technically proficient type would be appreciated! Dean

When searching for "Bob Wilson" (who I know is in the database) in the BCM search window (under Business Contacts in Business Contact Manager), it give me a bland screen and says "There are no items to show in this view. Double Click here to create a new Business Contact"....However, I see the contact count on the lower left hand corner showing "1 item". If i search again, using the exact same method, "Bob Wilson" contact will show up! Sometimes i have to do this 2, 3, or 4 times for the contact info to show.... Any ideas? If so, I need specific instruction as I'm not an IT guy (I just play one at our small company). Thanks, Chad

Mousewheel action hangs Outlook 2007

Postby TWVhdFNtMDB0aGll » Sun, 18 Feb 2007 15:20:10 GMT

I just installed Office 2007 Pro with Business Contact Manager over Vista
32-bit upgrade [from XP Pro] and everything appears to be working correctly
except for Outlook 2007. It pops up the "Outlook has stopped working..."
dialog box and then allegedly sends Microsoft some report that they allegedly
do god knows what with. I can consistently make the crash happen whenever I
use my mouse wheel in certain parts of the app. If I'm in an email preview
window, it's fine, but in the email list, it crashes. It's okay if I use it
in the calendar, but if I use it going through my contacts, it bombs. I'm
using a Wireless Logitech MX Laser 1000, which is otherwise behaving
properly. Has anyone else had any simliar issues? Eh, Outlook is probably the
most important part of Office for me... 'would be nice to be able to use it.

1.Outlook 2007 BCM - Could not complete your last action or actions

I have been trying to install BCM for Outlook on my computer with no look.
When I go to the BCM Home page it repeatedly comes up with a "Could not
complete your last acion or actions". I have the tabs for
home, sales, marketing and projects but no data. Just that error message over
and over again. I have unistalled and then re-intsalled but comes up with the
same problem. I have another computer running XP which will install bcm fine
(seperate outlook copy). Unfortunately I need to install it on my main Vista
computer.
Any help would be appreciated.

2.Your latest action of actions are not completed (BCM 2007)

This is a loose translation of a Dutch warning I get when I want to open eg.
Contacts or Accounts via the BCM menu bar in Outlook 2007
It is not really annoying, you can continue working after clicking OK.
But the warning keeps on popping up.

Anyone familiar with this problem, or, even better, the solution.

3.Outlook 2002 hangs with every action

Hello,

A user has a laptop with XP Home and Outlook 2002. He accesses the
company's Exchange server, which is in a domain, by doing the normal
authentication (Domain\Username & Password) when prompted. This has
been working for him for a while, but all of a sudden his Outlook
hangs constantly and is unusable. If he even clicks on a button in
the toolbar, it hangs. The program starts up in over a minute, and
any action in Outlook will take over a minute to complete. The screen
will sometimes go white because it is not responding. The only time
Outlook works well is when it is offline. Outlook Web Access works
fine though so I do believe the network connection is ok. The task
manager doesn't show any applications taxing the CPU. Any
suggestions? BTW, Instant Messenger is unchecked in
Tools->Other->Options.

Thanks.

4.Microsoft CRM Outlook Freezes or hangs with any action

has gone on for so long. can any one help????

5.SOLUTION: outlook must be connected to complete this action Exch 2007 and Outlook 2007

I was getting this error when trying to configure Outlook for users on Exch
2007 with Outlook 2007. I finally found a fix after 5 hours of
troubleshooting.

"exchange 2007 the action cannot be completed. the connection to microsoft
exchange is unavailable. outlook must be connected to complete this action"

SOLUTION:
1) Use adsiedit.msc to go into your ad site then navigate to your dc, under
dc, then ou=domain controllers. Right click on the domain controller and
then properties.
2) Scroll down into the attribute list and look for ServicePrincipalName.
Double click on the entry.
3) Now look in the list for ExchangeAB/Netbiosname
4) In a network where Sever01 is your Exchange 2007 Server and Server 02 is
your DC....
It should read "exchangeAB/Server02" and
"ExchangeAB/Server02.yourdomain.com"
5) Remove those entries and change them to "exchangeAB/Server01" and
"ExchangeAB/Server01.yourdomain.com"
6) Do this on all DC's
7) Test Outlook

Hopefully this will fix the situation for you.
