Business Contact History field displays all contents of inbox



  • 1. Primary Contacts and importing
    This is driving me nuts. I am importing into BCM Accounts. (from Xlsx) I have mapped a column name "contact" to "Primary Contact". The exports works fine, however the Contact never shows up in the primary contact field. I have renamed the "contact" to Primary Contact and remapped it. Whats a mother to do??
  • 2. MOA/BCM Integration fails
    When I try to integrate a new install of BCM 2007 with a new install of MOA 2009, I get the message: "Business Contact Manager of Outlook database is in an incompleted integration state, probably due to previous unsuccessful integration attempt. Please restore the Business Contact Manager for Outlook database to its pre-integrated state and then try to integrate again. Thank you.: WTH is this? BTW, this is a clean install to Vista (32) on a new machine that did not have any previous software installed. NOWHERE can I find anything about "incompleted integration state" or how to "restore to pre-integrated state". ANYONE have any ideas about this?
  • 3. Restricting Reports
    I am about to implement BCM in Outlook 2007 using a shared database across a team of users. Can I restrict/block the ability of most users to generate and print reports in order to protect the database? -- Andy A

    I have just installed BCM 2007 on Vista and Office 2007. When I load Word or Excel I get the following message: Office Application version does not match. Why? -- Many thanks Carol

Business Contact History field displays all the detailed contents of your 
Inbox instead of displaying only the history items that are related to the 
Account History or Business Contact History field.

Hi Nikki,

This is a known issue.  You need to download Office SP1 and then download 
the BCM Udpate.  Go to  http://www.**--****.com/  and check for 
updates - this will give you Office SP1.  Then search the downloads section 
for "Business Contact Manager Update" to download the v2 update.  Many new 
features were added based on customer feedback.

The problem I am experiencing is as follows:
I have microsoft outlook 2003 with business contact manager. When I access 
any account or business contact the Account History and Business Contact 
History fields display the Inbox instead of displaying the history items.

2.Added Field To Outlook Inbox and Now Inbox won't Display Content

I was changing some fields (ie. To, From, Sent etc) and I 
don't remember which one's I changed but now the Inbox 
won't show content, it just shows a gray screen with the

3.Accounts displayed with their category colour & changing Business Contact fields displayed within Accounts

Dear All,

Two quick questions:

1. Is there a way for accounts listed in the accounts home view to 
display with their category colour? It would be helpful to see each 
account coloured with their appropriate category colour for quick 
scanning and searching.

2. Is there a way to change fields which are displayed within the 
business contacts list an account view. I would like to also display the 
mobile/cell phone number for business contacts within the accounts page.
