I have moved my current BCM database from one PC to another and upgrading from Outlook 2003 (XP) to Outlook 2007 (Vista). I have exported the data from my old computer, placed it in a shared folder and then imported it into my new BCM. This has worked fine except that it hasn't imported any of the history which was attached to most of my records. When I imported there was a check to tick for importing everything which was ticked, so I'm really not sure why this isn't happening. Can someone give me a few pointers? Thanks, Christine

Accessing the NK2 file

Is there anyway to access to NK2 file without having to buy software?

4.Outlook.NK2 and Exchange Server 2007.NK2

Hi,
I'm pretty new to the TS amd we're testing the Outlook in TS for remote
users.

The users said if they use the TS Outlook, they loose their Outlook contacts
cache (Outlook.NK2 file located in their local user profile)

I tried copying their local NK2 file to the their TS profile and renamed it
"Exchange Server 2007.NK2" (thats the name they show up as in their TS
profile in the file server)

But every time they logoff and login, TS over-writes that file with their
new contacts cache file.

Is there a way to keep this file from over-written? Is there another
location TS keep the NK2 files? It is copying from somewhere since it keeps
the new cached addresses after logoff and login.

Thanks in advance...

5.Missing NK2 file in Outlook folder

I am having one of our users log on to a different terminal server. On the
orginal terminal server when she uses Outlook, she claims to have tons of
names cached in the autocompletion. If she hits an "a" in the To field she
gets a long list of names. However, the NK2 autocomplete cache file is
missing from the Outlook folder. Also, in the Advanced E-Mail Options dialog
box, "Suggest names while completeing" is checked. Where would these names
be cached if the NK2 file is not there? Again this is on the orignal
terminal server.

There are only three names in the Contacts folder too, although I don't
believe autocompletetion tries to match names in the contacts folder.

I have migrated many other users and the NK2 file is always there to copy
over the the other server.

Thanks.
