BCM auto-enters wrong date

Postby George » Sat, 22 Jan 2005 04:20:08 GMT

I'm using Outlook 2003 with BCM. I just noticed that I got a read-receipt
on an email (example below), and that it "automatically" got entered into
the BCM history of the contact who sent it to me.

Problem is...the read receipt arrived about 11:01 a.m. (Outlook put this
date on it), but it got automatically entered and dated at 1:37 p.m. in
BCM...

I had shut down my PC BEFORE 11:01a.m., and around 1:37pm was about the time
I re-started the PC, opened Outlook, and checked e-mails again.

Is this a bug? Shouldn't it "know" the time of the email was 11:01a.m. I
wonder if this will affect ALL emails, not just read receipts?

Thanks,
George

I suspect you read the email at 11:01am but Outlook sent the receipt at
1:37pm.

Actually, it's other way around, I saw/read the receipt at 1:37, but it was
dated in my Outlook Inbox as an email of 11:01 a.m.. I think in the case of
all emails, it means it was sent by the other person at 11:01 a.m.

Still, I'm thinking that BCM is keying off of the wrong data field...seems
to be keying off the time the email was *opened* by me, as opposed to the
time of the receipt, which is 11:01 a.m.

Maybe a small bug for fixing in the next version. Anyway, thanks for taking
a look at the post and taking time to reply.

1.Meetings/Appointments entering at wrong time/date

OL2003/Exchange
Just had my PC re-imaged by our IT department & now my Outlook is doing
weird things with the calendar.
When I create a meeting request or appointment, whatever time or date I set
in the form is ignored and the meeting/appointment is entered in my calendar
at the time/date it is created.
If I accept a meeting request from another user, this is also entered in my
calendar as if the meeting was to be at the time the request was received
instead of the time specified in the meeting form.
Driving me up the wall.
Any ideas?

Hello all,

I have Office 2000 installed on a PC with Windows 2000. The problem is when
Word's auto complete comes up it shows the wrong date. I checked the time,
date, and time zone for the PC. It's all correct. Any ideas on why this is
happening and how to fix it?
