Hi Marbell Yes Business Contacts can be shared on the network but in order to achive the same you have to download the latest version of the BCM Update from the following link http://www.**--****.com/ once you install you can find info with regard to sharing under help > about business contact manager > in the qucik start up guide Regards Raul Thomas
1.Create a Business Contact Manager database on a network share
Is there a way to put you Contact Manager database on a network share? For example I would like to put it on my SBS whick would make it easier to backup.
2.Want to share Outlook Business Contact Manager across network
Microsoft states that: "Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager Update supports sharing your customer informationusiness contacts, accounts, and sales opportunitiescross a PC network" I have the latest update version 2 and cannot figure out how to share my contacts with another PC on my network - the help files only explain how to share with other users on your local machine.
3.Business Contact Manager shared database when shared
Does anyone know if its possible to cache a BCM database which is shared so its available when offline? -- Gav

5.Shared Contacts in Business Contact Manager
I'm concerned that I've found a major flaw with BCM. It appears that when you are sharing your database, and some individual you have shared it to has a contact open before you, and then you go in and update some items (like adding notes on the details tab), that when you save and close your data it does not save since someone else had the contact open first. I understand that this is common in most database programs; however, what concerns me is that there is no way for the second individual that opened the contact to be notified that his changes won't take...even saving and closing the file and then reopening it to check it reveals it has saved...until the first user closes the contact and all your changes were wiped clean. ...please tell me there is someway to notify a user that there changes won't take.
