  • 1. performance issues
Does anyone have a solution for the performance issues with BCM 2007? I can't collapse and expand groups when I am connected to a database on the server. Works fine on a local copy, but my users need to share the database, so it has to live on the server. Unless I find a solution, I have to give up on BCM, which I really don't want to do because it generally meets my needs. What problem resolution channels do we have besides this discussion group? Have you had any success with them?
  • 2. Can you customize reports with user defined fields?
I have been unable to customize my reports to match user defined fields. If MS understands that we all need to customize fields for specific company they must have a way to customize our reports using fields we create.
  • 3. BCM offline and wont go online...
Hi, Im hoping someone can help, ive looked around and cant find a solution to this. A Client is using BCM, database on server ,1 pc connected with no offline setup and 1 laptop with offline ability. THe problem is on the laptop, every so often it goes offline and refuses to go back online. When you go to the offline option and click on it - it analyzes the changes the says the operation has been cancelled and goes back to being offline. If i remove the BCM data file from the tool/accounts and reconnect a complete fresh one its fine until it goes offline again. Any ideas would be great.
  • 4. Wrap Text in Reporting
I am unable to locate a "wrap text" functionality in the reporting tool. Comments in the "Activity by Business Contact report" and a variety of other reports truncate long fields based on the lack of wrap functionality. Am I missing something? Steve

Is anyone using TSWA on server 2008?
IF yes are you able to access Outlook with BCM through TSA?

This would be one way to have BCM work through a browser MAYBE!

Thanks

1.Calling Reporting Services Web Service from MS Access?

Hi,

I have been struggeling with this issue for ququite some time, and I hope
you can help me out. My question is how to call the Reporting Services Web
Service from MS Access?

I tried the soap toolkit, but that runs into an error when generating the
classes.

Is there another way to call the RS web service from Access?

Thanks a lot for your help.

3.Outlook 2000 "Common language runtime debugging services" error on terminal services 2003 w/exchange 2003

After installing exchange 2003 and updating the .NET framework along with
the other required updates my users started to have problems using Outlook
2000. Outlook 2000 froze for many of the after my update, and after that
point whenever outlook is launched there is an error. "common language
runtime debugging services" is the title of the box, and "Application has
generated an exception that could not be handled" is in the body. The
Process ID and Thread ID are then listed.

So far I have:
Repaired Office 2000 installation
Reinstalled Office 2000
Removed .NET framwork 1.1

Right now I am loading .NET Framework 2.0

If I run outlook under an Administrative rights user in the domain, like
myself, Outlook does function, but an error occurs as well. "I'm sorry, but
a serious program error (Object reference not set to an instance of an
object.) occurred." Then it offers to send a bug report.

Little stumped on this one any help would be very very appreciated.
