I have recently acquired a Treo 700wx. As probably everybody else knows, you cannot sync your BCM contacts to these (stupid) smart phones. Does anyone know when this will be possible? I really don't want to spend $50 for Pocket Mirror.

Well, here we go again. Another pain in the butt from the boneheads at Microsoft. I am synching to my Cingular 8125/Windows Mobile 5.0 from BCM 2007 (we should rename this BM 2007 as in bowel movement). In the course of synching, both sides stop. Then Active Synch disconnects. So I may get 150 business contacts into the phone before the system halts. From there, when I try to synch again, the application takes my synched contacts from the phone and adds them back into BCM 2007. Now I have duplicates. I'm so glad I have plenty of free hours to 'save time' and manage my contacts via computer!

In Office 2007 Professional Edition Outlook with BCM is included. Has this Outlook limited functionalities or is it the same Outlook included in the other versions, plus BCM? Thanks in advance Regards Emece.-

"Can't open this item" error in BCM

Postby UGF1bCBIYWdnYXJ0eQ » Fri, 03 Nov 2006 04:23:01 GMT

Outlook 2003 SP2
BCM db running on SQL 2005
All my business and accounts contacts appear to be there but when I double
click on any of them it gives a simple "Can't open this item" error every
time.
I have tried stopping and starting outlook, stopping and starting the
instance that the BCM database resides on SQL 2005, backing up and restoring
the BCM db to a newly created one yet I am still receiving the error.
Any ideas?

At what point did it stop functioning?

Are the firewalls off? Is your BCM instance running on the correct port? Is
your BCM 2003 up to SP3?

1."Can't open this item" error opening most email.

Hi,

running Outlook 2000 on Windows 2000 Terminal Server. Having this problem opening emails for all users to any Exchange 2000 Server from one particular server.

Users are able to open any returned email from the system administrator (undeliverables etc.) but attempting to open any other email causes the error "Can't open this item".

It's not an Exchange issue as using another server or a Workstation they can access their email OK.

I have de-installed Outlook/Office 2000 and re-installed but the problem is still there.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks Julie

2."Can't open this item" Error Opening Outlook Mail Message With IE7

I installed IE7RC1 and got frequent "can't open this item" error messages
when trying to open individual mail messages in my Exchange account mail box.
If I right clicked on the selected message, I got "operation failed" error.
I can view the messages in the reading pane.

I removed IE7 and the problem disappeared.

I then removed the add-on toolbars I had installed; Skype for Outlook,
Google Toolbar, and Windows desktop search and reinstalled IE7. Same errors
trying open messages. I removed IE7 and errors disappeared.

I am using Outlook 2003 on XP SP2 with all updates from Microsoft Update.
Exchange server version is 2003.

Any advice?

3.BCM error "BCM cannot save this item because it does not recog

Luther,

She had not made any changes to that particular contact. All she did was
import all the contacts from an Excel list a day before. Then I received the
cell phone number for a client and typed it into the field - hit save and
close and it gave me the error. I went to her machine and we added the cell
phone number and it accepted it.

Thanks
PMD

I can't send or receive in Outlook. I've created a data file, but the
