  • 1. E-mail Display names
    When writing a new e-mail, I select a contact in my contacts list, the display name does not match the contact. In the contacts file XXXX@XXXXX.COM shows a display name of "John Smith", but when I select this contact using the "To:" button, the display name comes up as "John Smith (Business fax)", or "John Smith ( XXXX@XXXXX.COM )" Nowhere in the contact file does the above items show up. How do I correct this?
  • 2. Outlook does not recognize one or more names
    When trying to send mail with outlook this is what my response is, "oultlook does not recognize one or more names. I can send mail when using my verizon mail program but not with outlook. Any ideas?
  • 3. Can't Send EMAIL with Attachments
    After attaching a document to an email, I hit the send button, the attachment disappears from the Attachment kine and Outlook just hangs there until I kill the application. Regular EMAIL sends out just fine and I can open attachments that are sent to me. I've turned off Norton, my Zonelab firewall, and the Microsoft XP SP2 firewall. I'm using outlook Express 6.0 -- rproemsey
  • 4. "Reading Pane" is grey'ed out
    I'm using Outlook 2003 with BCM. For emails, the folder structure is: Personal Folders [+]Deleted Items [- ]Drafts (reading pane grey'ed out for this folder) Administrative Marketing Operations [+]Inbox .... I wondered why the "Reading Pane" is greyed out for all 3 messages under parent folder called "Drafts". The way it works for all the other folders and subfolders is... putting the cursor on the message displays text of that message underneath it in the reading pane. If I go down to the subfolders ...Drafts/Administrative or Drafts/Marketing, or Drafts/Operations, all the messages in those DO have a reading pane...the option is not grey'ed out. Even "Deleted Items" has a reading pane. Hmmmmmm? Thanks, George
  • 5. users sending empty email
    I have two users, that since implementing Exchange Server frequently send blank email. they start a new email, type the information they want to send and send. When it gets to it destination it is empty. If they look in sent items it is also empty. I hope you can help, one user is the company VP

When I using Outlook  forward included 3 attachment message (HTML). I have
checked the send item only 3 attachment. But another user received message
included duplicate 3 attachment. Please advice how to fix the problems.

the issue is likely on the recipients end.
are you using any special encoding?

Please advice how to check. When I use received duplicate attachment messafe
forward to Internal other e-mail just no problems. But When our overseas
office send forward message to me, I have receive dupliacte attachment in
the message.

This site using Small Business Server exchange version , user using outlook
workgroup type connect download message.

also when send out i try remove the attachment, but user receive the remove
is still in the message attachment.

update information

User first draft message insert a paste pciture in the message (HTML), but
next time user forward this message and remove the picture and send out . I
have checked user send item the attachment have been remove, but user
received this message, the attachment is still here, no change.

I'm not sure on this.
I've seen it with an IMAP account only. Maybe try and Exchange group. they 
might send you back here.

I'm using outlook 2003 and the mail server is non-microsoft server. IMAP 
connection is used to send/retrieve mails. Here's my problem:
For example, I send a mail to "user A" & "User B" and Cc to "User C" & "User 
D" with a single attachment. But, the recipients found that duplicate mails 
with duplicate attachments are received. Checked in my "sent items", the mail 
was normal. Those recipients are also using IMAP connection and using outlook 
2003. Please help.

I seem to be getting a duplicate attachment every once in 
a while that is displayed in outlook with my IMAP 
configured mail client.  If I check it from another 
computer or via the web interface it appears that there is 
only one copy on the IMAP mail server even though for some
