Does anyone know if it is possible to share simultanously a .PST file. The systemmanger of Exchange will not setup a groupaccount, so no help there. I am working on a project and all relevant mail is redirected to a .PST file, if another person try to open this file it gets the messages file is in use.
  • 3. Flags and To Do Bar in OUtlook 2007
I just upgraded to Office 2007 and one thing I really don't like is the changes in flags and the mixing of tasks and "to do" items. I flag emails to separate important ones from the rest of my received messages. Some are info only, others are actionable whenever and still others are urgent. It seems that now, if you flag a message it be comes a to do item, period. Also, there is only due date differentiation among flagged items. There used to be five flag colors to differentiate flagged messages Is that not more? Is there a way to recreate that functionality. And, I like the to do bar, but can I set it up not to include flagged email messages? They get in the way of tasks. In other words, is there any way to recreate the flagged message functionality of Outlook 2003 where flags do not automatically become task-like items? Thanks,

accidentally deleted Outlook 2007 reminder

Postby DA » Sat, 17 Jan 2009 09:12:46 GMT

Not noticing that my cursor was inside the reminders box, and wanting
to delete an e-mail in my inbox, I hit delete and accidentally deleted
a reminder and, unfortunately, have no idea which one, which scares me
a bit (e.g., "give mom her pill or she will go into a coma" - OK, I
exagerate).

Is there any way to undo a last action inside the reminder popup in
Outlook 2007? I see forum posts about "recover deleted items" option
under Tools (in Oulook 2003) but I do not see that in my system of
Outlook 2007.

My deketed items folder seems to have some dismissed reminders but far
few than what I'd expect, so there must be some special condition that
caused me to find those. But none of them seems to be the one I might
have accidentally deleted.

Bottom line: Is there any way to find out what i deleted?

Thanks!
Dean

2.Accidentally Deleted EMail Distribution List in Outlook 2007

I wanted to delete ONE address in my Email Distribution Group, so clicked on
the "X" which, you guessed it, deleted the ENTIRE GROUP!
Is there any way to reload the group from my backup .pst file?
Any other thoughts on how to get it back?

Also, any way to disable that "X" which, when I've highlighted just one
name, looks like the "delete" single address symbol and not "delete" all-m-
data-and-make-me-weep symbol! ;-)

Thanks so much!

3.Outlook 2007 Catagory -The File drop down menu accidentally delete

I was tired and while working late accidentally moved the File dropdown menu
catagory and moved it so it no longer shows up on the main page. Is there a
way to put it back.

I see that it is still listed in the catagory list if you right click the
edit drop down menu. But I can not figure out how to get the file drop down
to show back up.

Any suggestions? Thanks, Troy

4.Outlook 2007 Auto Archived Files accidentally deleted

I had installed Microsoft Office 2007 in my mom's computer and set up her
email account in Outlook. I had forgotten to check the default auto archive
settings. When she went to retrieve an old email everything more than 6
months old is gone. When I checked the settings they were set to autoarchive
every 14 days and delete items more than 6 months old. Please tell me there
is way to retrieve these for her.

5.Accidentally deleted calendar in Outlook 2007 SP2

I've had a two calendars but only use one. I right-clicked on one of them
(guess which one) under My Calendars on the tool bar and hit delete. Now I
have one calendar and it's empty. Is there anyway for me to recover the
deleted one? I have not archived for 3 months so that's not a solution.
