Is there a way to disable the splash screen in MS Outlook 2003? I am using WinXP HE. TIA, Bruce
Bruce < XXXX@XXXXX.COM > had this to say: My reply is at the bottom of your sent message: I don't know how to disable it - I Googled and did not find a way either. What I do know is that if you're trouble is that the splash screen is hanging there, sometimes for as much as a couple of minutes, you can usually fix that by disabling the instant messaging in the options. Change your startup folder to Inbox. Tools>Options>Other> advanced options button>select Inbox in "Startup in this folder."
Huh??? What does this have to do with the Outlook splash? -- Brian Tillman
How do I turn off the splash screen in Outlook 2000? Thanks. -- marx404
Hi: I am attempting to develop an Excel application that is seamlessness linked with an Access application so the end user does not know (or care) what underlying tols are being used. It all works fine, but the "seamless"aspect is hurt by the fact that the Excel splash screen keeps opening up whenever I open the worksheet. Is there some way I can programmatically suppress the splash screen when the Excel sheet is opened? Best John Baker
3.Disabling splash screen on start-up
I'm running Entourage 11.3.2 on OS X 10.4.8. Is there a way to disable the splash screen for Entourage (or any of the Office for Mac 2004 apps) on start-up? Thanks, Dave
4.Disable splash screen in XL04?
Is there a way to disable display of the splash screen in Excel 2004 (or 2008 for that matter) when starting Excel via Applescript? This would be similar to the Excel/Windows "/embedded" command line switch - and for the same general purpose, to embed Excel functionality within another application and make the integration appear somewhat seamless. "set the startup dialog to false" doesn't do it - that's for the Project Gallery.
