Ok. I give up. Why can't I highlight multiple file attachments then right click to save all of them? Does the right-click-save really only work on one file at a time?

This problem has been an occasional thorn in my side, but has become a big problem since installing Office XP. The computer in question has been through Office 97 with Outlook 98, Office 97 with Outlook 2000 and now Office XP with Outlook 2002. The problem is that even after I install Office XP, Outlook 2000 is still listed in Add/Remove programs and appears to still be there in some form. When I open several other programs the Outlook 2000 SR-1 setup starts and it tries to install something (I don't know what) and even if you follow the instructions to install whatever it's looking for, it comes right back up the next time. I took these steps the other day with no change in the behavior: 1)uninstalled Office XP completely 2)reinstalled Outlook 2000 by itself 3)uninstalled Outlook 2000 (Outlook still listed in Add/Remove programs after this) 4)ran the Office 2K removal program from the resource kit 5)reinstalled Office XP The Outlook 2000 I installed was the standalone program that we received with Exchange 2000 and not part of an Office 2000 install, so I thought the Office 2K removal program would cover it - it seemed to remove a whole bunch of stuff, but still didn't get whatever persistent garbage is left over. Anyone have any other ideas to try?

Can someone tell me if there is a way to fix the VB Scripting error in Outlook 2002? I would like to send and receive stationeries in my emails, but apparently, Microsoft started to disallow the .vbs format in Outlook. Is there a program out there? Can I fix this by tweaking something in the Registry? Help! Thanx

I have received email that automatically lets the sender know that I have opened OR deleted their email by sending the sender an email. Can this be done in Outlook98?

outlook icon in the tray

Postby Scotch Monster%*} » Wed, 28 Jan 2004 09:16:42 GMT

Hi everyone,
I have just installed outlook 2003 and now have an icon for outlook sitting
in my system tray. I really don't like anything in there except for the
usual necessities. Does anyone know how to get rid of it. I know it means I
can minimise to tray but I always have 2 outlook windows open (one for
calendar & 1 for inbox) so I'm very happy to minimise to usual position. Any
help will be appreciated. I have seen a reg fix to put it there but its by
deleting a file.
Cheers.

How do you prevent the outlook icon from residing in the icon tray? I have
unchecked "hide when minimized" option (right click on icon in icon tray).

2.Outlook icon in system tray?

I just upgraded to Outlook 2003. I now have an icon in my start menu, an
icon on my desktop (which I deleted), an icon in my quick-start menu, and an
icon in my system tray. (Not to mention the button in my taskbar) The one
in the system tray is pretty much worthless as far as I am concerned. Is
there some wway to get rid of this?

Thanks!

3.Outlook Icon in System Tray

When I exit Outlook 2003 the icon remains in the system tray. It's
non-functioning because if I click Open Outlook - I get an error message
that Outlook is not responding.

How can I get the icon to close when I exit Outlook?

Thanks,

Ron

5.Extra Outlook icon in system tray

I have Outlook 2003 and it worked perfectly until I added my IPaq. Now I have
an "extra" outlook icon in my system tray that is always there (Icon is in
2000 format) and when I click on it, it gives me the error of "The Operation
Failed". I think it has something to do with the ActiveSync, but I'm not
sure. Sometimes I will get multiple "extra" icons and one day I ended with
five! Does anyone know what the problem could be and what we can do to fix it?
