  • 1. hyperlinks in Outlook mail
Hello when I receive an email in Outlook with a hyperlink in the text, I am unable to open a browser window even when clicking on it 2 or 3 times. Yes, the cursor turns to a hand and indicates that each hyperlink is active, yet nothing happens when clicking . . . Any help is greatly appreciated in unraveling this mystery Thanks
  • 2. Forwarding Madness
Hi All I apologise for the cross-post, but I honestly don't know which NG this should be in. I also can't explain this problem any other way, so I hope this list makes some sense: 1) I'm using Outlook 2003 (from the MS Office 2003 CDs) on WinXP SP1 (all of the web updates as of today), which connects to the outside world via Broadband to get it's Internet email and connects to the local network via Exchange 2003 (I think because it is running on a Win2003 Server) to get local mail from other people. We all get our Internet email directly from the Internet rather than routing through Exchange. A boggle in itself!! 2) I receive an Internet email from my external POP3 account. 3) I read it. 4) I send a reply back to the sender. No problem. 5) I need to forward it to somebody on my internal network so I: * re-send again * put an Exchange client into the To field * change the Account (basically the from pop-up menu) from my default setting to Exchange * and then send it 6) After a few seconds, I get an error message saying 'you do not have permission to send to this recipient''. 7) If I create a completely new message and copy and paste the text from this original email into my new message and send it then it works fine. But this is crap. Any ideas how I resolve this? Rgds Robbie

  • 4. spam prevents outlook and outlook express from receiving mail
Has anyone discovered a fix for this? I'm having to go to the webmail and remove these spam messages from the server to get Outlook to receive all my mail. Been having this problem on multiple computers now. I don't think it's my system. -MAx
  • 5. Problem opening attachment
I have a user who has recieved an email that is trying to open the attachment, when she goes to open it or even save as on the attachment she receives the message; "Cant create file <filename> Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder." She has full access to the machine as she is the local administrator and no nfts permissions are set to any of the folders shes tried opening it to (as a temp file) or saving. I've sent this email onto a couple of other users including myself and it opens fine. Any ideas?

Contact Netzero. We don't know.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Angelo Nelson
asked:

2.How do I download a large Service Pack on a dial-up connection

Peter,

I don't believe this will work. The Microsoft downloads seem to integrate
themselves into the software in a way that doesn't provide access to what has
been downloaded. If you'll remember the download didn't have a "Save" option
during the process.

Also, per my previous answer to a pos titled "Download of office2003-sp2 is
over 2.5 hours, i want a CD-rom":

I totally agree with the original post. Posting a Service Pack (in my case
I
need both SP 1 & 2) without providing an option for obtaining the CD, and not
indicating any future availability on CD (as Don MI provides in his answer)
shows very little concern for the time of those who are led to believe that
their only option is the download.

3.Internet connection interrupted during Office service pack downlo.

I just installed Office 2003 Student & Teacher edition, and then went on the
Office update website to download updates. I needed Service Pack 1 and was
downloading it when the internet connection was interrupted. When I went
back to download it again, it won't let me download it (makes a funny blurp
sound)

4.Outlook email connection to aq netscape email account

I have tried everything to get Outlook to accept my
Netscape account as the default account it should use. I
put the imap server info into the incoming part of the set
up and the smpt info into the outgoing part.

It then reads cannot connect to server. I have a cable
modem connection to the net. What am I doing wrong?

I hope someone out there has solved this problem because I
plan to start using Outlok extensively because of the new
PDA I got. So I need this working.

I look forward to all of your help.

Regards
Chris
