  • 1. Recently used e-mail address lists
Once in awhile I will type in an e-mail address improperly. Once that has occurred, if I ever want to send an e-mail to the proper address, the incorrectly spelled address pops up as one of the options in the outlook (to:) address line. Does anyone know how to modify the e-mail address list without completely deleting it?
  • 2. Messge headers
In Outlook 2002, what is the setting to allow me to see message headers in the same way that I can use File-> Properties in Outlook Express.
  • 3. Network Password entered each time Outlook starts
I have Office XP Pro with Outlook 2002 and EVERY time I start up Outlook it asks me to enter my Network Password. I do and check the box to remember my password but is shows up again next time. Anyone know how to get it to accept the password? I had Office 97 and Outlook 97 before and never had this problem. I have already installed Office XP Service Packs 1 & 2. XXXX@XXXXX.COM
  • 4. Limits on rules in Outlook
Does anyone know if there is a limit on the number of rules that you can have in Outlook Mail? I have always had about 15 active rules, but I just added about 10 more and got the following error: "One or more rules could not be uploaded to Exchange server and have been deactivated. This could be because some of the parameters are not supported or there is insufficient space to store all of your rulles."
  • 5. !!OL 2003 errors when sending to large distribution list!!
I did not get any responses two weeks ago so I'll try it again. Does any one have any ideas on this? I have a client that just upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003. They were able to send a brochure done in Word to a large distribution list in Office 2000 now in Office 2003 when using the 'Send to' feature they get two errors. 1. an internal support function retruned an error. There is no indication of what the error is. 2. Can not perform the requested operation. The command is not valid for this Receipiant. Could not complet the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid. The distribution list is around 8000 address. If they take small parts of the list and manually send the file everything works. Does any one have an idea what could be the problem, or how to track it down? Thanks in advance. Ron R

Has anyone discovered a fix for this? I'm having to go to the webmail and
remove these spam messages from the server to get Outlook to receive all my
mail. Been having this problem on multiple computers now. I don't think it's
my system.

if you are using McAfee then disable its email integration.report it to
McAfee too. I have a problem with that behaviour. You can "clean" the
server when this happens by downloading or deleting the email from the
server while the viruscan is not running.

Still hangs even with McAfee disabled. But thanks. Still looking for the
solution.

How can I stop Outlook from automatically receiving/downloading my new email

I use a spam prevention program to filter my email. I am allowed to choose
what mail I download from my provider.
When I am finished reading my eamil and close outlook I can't seem to close
it completely unless I shut down/restart my computer. It keeps running in the
background automatically downloading all email sent to me, not allowing the
spam program to do as I have trained it to. I don't want Outlook to
constantly monitor when I receive new email. Just hiding the icon from view
