Offline/Online Folders - Synchronizing (Contacts)
by Dirk Vandebunt » Wed, 03 Dec 2003 03:07:30 GMT
For some reason, I have 2900 contacts in my Offline
folder but only 250 of them appear in the online folder.
Of course, I want them all in the online folder so my PDA
sychs properly and so I can access them when logging in
remotely.
How do I move the contacts from the offline to the online
folder? I am afraid that by synch'ing the two folders,
the online foler will overwrite the offline one, and I'll
lose all those contacts.
I am using XP, Outlook 2003.
Thanks.

1.Calendar folder doesn't synchronize with offline folder..
Hi
I have a very annoying problem. The (olny!) calendar folder off Outlook
2003 doesn't synchronize its offline folder any more. In Eigenschaften
-> Synchronisierung I can read that the calendar contains 500 elements
but the offline folder only 150. Whatever I try the offline folder
doesn't synchronize. Synchronization works perfect with all other
folders. Nor I apply any filters either..
Any ideas?
Thx

2.How to synchronize offline contacts with exchange contacts
I have two contacts folders...one is my offline or .pst folder and the other
is the one hosted from the exchange server. I'm running plaxo which only
synchronizes with my offline folder...I understand it does not synchronize
with the public exchange folder. Therefore, is there a way the offline
personal folder (which does sync with plaxo) can sync and merge with the
public exchange contacts on the server??
3.Cant see online or offline contacts in Outlook Express
Outlook Express 6 is not showing Online/Offline MSN Messenger under
'Contacts' since MSN Messenger 7 was installed.
I hope that you can assist me to rectify this problem.

4.Local Contact folder synchronized with Public Contact folder
Hello all!
We are running Exchange/Outlook 2003 sp2 (SBS) and hope to find a solution
to simplify the viewing and use of a Public Contacts folder that we are
using. What we would like to do is create a sub folder in Outlook under
Contacts that links to our Public Contacts folder. Is it possible to do this
without copying the contents of the Public folder into the local Outlook
profile? Our main goal is to make accessing the Public Contacts folder as
easy as possible and eliminate multiple copies of the Public folder. (Our
CEO gets confused when he updates an address in one list and then accesses
another copy of the list and finds the old contact information. Go figure!)
Please let me know if you need additional information. Thanks in advance
for your help.
5.synchronize contacts in personal folder with contacts folder
Outlook 2003 Exchange server
Is there a way to synchronize my contacts in "Contacts in Personal Folder"
with "Contacts?"
Reason: When I make a new contact in the "Contacts in Personal Folder" I am
able to pull up the contact through the "Select Names" window under the
Contacts dropdown, but am not able to synchronize with my Palm device.
When I make a new contact in the "Contact" folder, I cannot pull up the
contact through the "Select Names" window under Contacts, but I can
synchronize with my Palm device.
Is there a way to synchronize the two folders?
