  • 1. Import Access Emails to 2003 Outlook in Plain Text Format
I am trying to import a list of email addresses from MS Access to a contact list in MS Outlook 2003. When I import the contacts they come in as "Let Microsoft decide which format to use". I want all the contacts in MS Outlook 2003 to be plain text because some on my customers can not read Outlook formated emails. The emails need to be sent out as plain text. I am able import the email addresses I just can't get them to come in as plain text. I have to manuall go through each contact and change them to plain text, which is a big hassel because every week we update the contact list of over 300 contacts. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
  • 2. Can you place a call using bluetooth to your cell phone
I am trying to use my cell phone as a bluetooth modem and place voice calls from Outlook Contacts. It will dial the call but I cannot hear any audio either through my computer or my cell phone.
  • 3. Word hyperlinks to Outlook Contacts?
Is there a way that I can hyperlink a name in a Word '07 document to a contact in my Outlook? I'd like to write up a report with names of people I've met, and be able (when reviewing it later) to click on one of those names and have it open up that person's Outlook profile. TIA
  • 4. Where Have My e-Mail Contacts Gone?
This morning on my PC when I pressed the obutton on a new e-mail my contacts list did not show. It was fine last night as I sent an e-mail using the obutton just before shutting down. I use Windows XP Home edition and recently upgraded to MS Office Pro 2007. My Contacts are all displayed and when I right click the contacts button and look at Properties I note that the box is ticked alongside the words how this folder as an e-mail Address Book The tick box and words are greyed out. I am fortunate as I can make a direct comparison with settings on my laptop which also uses MS Pro 2007 (it runs Vista Home premium) and it works perfectly including the contacts showing when the obutton is pressed. I periodically update the laptop by copying the Pst file from the PC to it. How can I get my Contacts to display when I press the obutton on a new e-mail?
  • 5. Some records with one category show up in another
I have several categories I've defined which look to have created folders of the same name. Ex: Personal, work, Doctors. I have some addresses that I have assigned to category Personal, but when I go into that category/directory they are not there. One is in Doctors, the other is in Contact. Should all of the contacts regardless of category be visible in the Contact directory. If so, they are not there..

The file you need to copy and reuse back up is your Personal Folders file
(*.pst) It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup:
