Is there a easy way to schedule follow-up for contacts. In Filemaker Pro I create a field and enter the date and when necessary sort by that field/date. Is it possible in Outlook? Thanks because it is really bugging me

What exactly are you trying to achieve? You want to be notified if someone hasn't replied to an e-mail you have send yet? You can use the Follow Up Reminder Add-in for this from Sperry Software http://www.**--****.com/ If you decide to order use "BH93RF24" to get a discount -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] www.howto-outlook.com Tips of the month: -Creating Signatures -Create an Office XP CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 3 -----
Hi Roady and thanks for the reply. I would like to schedule my calls that I need to make. Eg. I would like to call Linda on the 17th of July. Rather that go to the calender and place an entry in the 17th, can I create a field in 'contacts' that I can place July 17, 04 and then when July 17th rolls around, sort by that field and pull up all the calls I need to make for that day. There must be a way :-)
Hi Roady and thanks for the reply. I would like to schedule follow-up calls to entries in Contacts. Eg. I would like to call Linda on July 17th. Rather than go to July 17th on the calendar and end up with a whole host of entries for Linda nad the 30 or 40 other calls I have scheduled for that day, is there a way of creating a field in contacts that I can enter july 17, 2004 and then when the day comes around sort by that field and in doing so pull up all the calls I need to make for that day. Sounds simple but I haven't been able to find anyone who can do it. There must be a way :-) Thanks again.

Why not just set a reminder flag on those contacts with a type of "Call" and the date you wish the reminder for? -Ben- Ben M. Schorr, MVP-OneNote, Outlook
Hi Squats: You can use the followup flag feature. In the contact you see a red flag, click on it then you can schedule a followup for a call on a certain date and time. Then at that designated time you will get a reminder if you have outlook open. Minimized is OK, you can be in anything else, just has to be open. Hope this helps,
Marje, you did it! You answered my age-old bug-bear of a question. I'm impressed. Now to part two... can you sort by that field as well? Thanks :-)
You can sort or group by flags or add the reminder time field to the view. Use the customize view dialog to add the additional fields to the view.
Hi Marje, Now that I am using the followup flag feature, can I sort by the due date to view all up-coming calls needed to be made? Les
Handled! I re-read all the posts and answered my own question. Thanks for all your help because this is big for me. God bless, Les
1."For Followup" Search Folder does not show sent mail with followup
Outlook 2003 SP2 Is there any way to have a new mail message that has been flagged with a follow up date appear in the "For Follow Up" search folder? It seems like the "For Follow Up" search folder only shows emails where the "Flag Status" has been clicked and a coloured flag selected. This can only happen by going to the Sent Items and setting the Flag Status, as the Flag Colour is greyed out when creating a new message. Thanks -- Pottsy
We are currently using Outlook 2003 w/Exchange server. We have a huge contact list that is accessed by multiple users. When a user talks to a contact he/she puts a note on the contact summarizing the details of the conversation. Is there a better way to save the details instead of using notes? Also is there a way to version the notes so that each time a newer note is posted to a contact that date and time can be used to track the contact instead of the modified date time? Any help appreciated.
Two Outlook 2003 Exchange clients have suddenly begun receiving Contact Followup popup reminders each time they open Oultook. They can select "dismiss" or "dismiss all", wait roughly 30 minutes and the same popup appears again. None of the contacts is flagged for followup so the trigger for the popup is a mystery. One user began getting the popups after editing an existing contact list, the other user doesn't know what he did prior to the popups appearing. Help?
4.Flagging a message for followup in Outlook Web Access
Does anyone know how to flag a message for followup when using Outlook Web Access?
5.Changing AddIn Load order (followup to above)
Ahh I see what "print attached files" does, it actually prints a word document if attached to the default printer What we are looking for is to print the email with a list of the files actually attached to the email, rather than the contents Is that possible?
