I have Windows ME and Office 2000 so can open most attachments. Lately, I have been receiving attachments with the Microsoft icon with .asf and .wmv and I cannot open them. I get a message that it has to be found in Program.exe and I am asked for the location of Program.exe. Nothing comes up when I search for this program. I am sure that this was not a problem awhile ago. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. Thanking you in advance.

Hello, I used the VB to retrieve the outlook XP contact list. When I run the application, it prompt a dialog box. In the following is the dialog box message: A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "No". When I click "Yes", the screen prompt out "Error 287: Application-defined or object-defined error". In normally, if click "Yes", the VB program can retrieve all contact records out, but in my case, it flows this error. Any experts can help me to solve this problem? best regards, TF

Outlook 2002 messages unreadable in Eudora Pro 6 on WinXP Pro

I have very little experience with Eudora.
I have a customer who has EP 6 installed under WinXP Pro.
I use Outlook 2002 extensively to communicate with all my other clients and
between my home office and Exchange server at work, with no problem at all,
yet when I send this one client a standard RTF email (no attachments) he
cannot read it. Any ideas where to look?

Some folks say that Eudora can handle RTF mails, but in general, RTF is
a proprietary Outlook format and other e-mail programs can't understand
it. If the Eudora recipient is having trouble with your RTF messages,
it would be easiest to just send to that recipient in HTML or Plain Text
instead. You can specify the sending format to that recipient for all
messages -- open his contact record, double-click the e-mail address,
and choose the sending format in the dropdown box.

1.Trouble Receiving iCalendar Messages using Outlook 2002/XP (10.4608.4219 SP-2) under WinXP Pro)

I have successfully sent Contact cards as vCards for years (using Actions |
Forward as vCard). However, I've had no such success forwarding iCalendar
cards. I AM able to send them from this computer without a hitch. However,
when they arrive on another computer which is also running WinXP Pro and
Outlook 2002/XP (10.4712.4219) SP-2), the iCalendar cards cannot be opened
and saved. When the recipient opens the e-mail containing the iCalendar
card and tries to open the iCalendar card by double-clicking the calendar
icon, a Microsoft Outlook error message pops up stating: "cannot import
vCalendar file. Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter
values are not valid."

It's interesting to note that the selection on the Actions menu to send a
copy of a calendar item refers to it as an iCalendar card, yet the error
message on the receiving end refers to it as a vCalendar card.

How can I succeed in sending individual appointments from my calendar on
this computer to other computers?

I look forward to your response. I shall greatly appreciate your help.

2.Cannot import Eudora 6.1 Pro mail w/Outlook 2002 importer

I have Windows XP Pro w/SP2 with Outlook 2002 w/SP3. My Eudora 6.1 mailboxes
and files are installed in C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application
Data\Qualcomm. In Outlook 2002, I type "File", "Import and Export", "Import
Internet Mail and Addresses", "Eudora (Pro and Light) 2.x, 3.x, 4.x", "Select
the destination for imported addresses = Personal Address Book".

I get the errror: "The mailfolder could not be opened. Please close the
application and try again."

Eudora is not opened when I receive this message. Is the Outlook 2002
importer looking for my Eudora files someplace other than C::\Documents and
Settings..." where they reside on Windows XP?

Is there a workaround? How can I get my Eudora Pro 6.1 mail imported into
Outlook 2002?

Thanks,
John

3.Lost mail in Outlook 2002 when upgrading to WinXP Pro

I was using Outlook 2002 to read mail in my Administrator
account under Windows 2000 Pro. When I upgraded to
Windows XP Pro, I lost all of my E-mail, because
apparently the installer didn't copy my old Administrator
account to the new WinXP Administrator account.

I tried to copy the Outlook-related folders from my old
Admin account to my new Admin account. It seemed to work
for a while, but then the Outlook Shortcuts bar started
acting strangely. Is there an elegant way to get my old
Outlook mail into my new WinXP Admin account?
