  • 1. Disabled Items Resiliency Key in Outlook 2007
I am documenting the troubleshooting process for a 3rd party addin for Outlook. I am looking for the resiliency key in Outlook 2007. Unfortunately, I can't crash anything in Outlook for the key to be created. For example, I know in Outlook 2003, it is located in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\outlook\Resiliency Googling gets me a whole lot of nothing as far as pinpointing the location in the registry. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  • 2. Signature won't appear in a new email ??
I am working with outlook 2003 six machine are in the office only one will not automaticly insert signature with a new email. (Of coarse its the bosses) The signature can be added manually with the "Insert" > "Signature". The same signature works with reply and forward perfectly. The mail is coming from Exchange Server 2003. The other Machines don't have this problem. Any body have an ideas.
  • 3. ADD Contact Group Without MS Exchange
I am looking for a way to ADD a Contact Group to Outlook when Microsoft Exchange is NOT used. Especially when the email server is at corporate. We are looking for a local solution to build and distribute a local Contact Group that users can ADD to their Outlook 2003 Address Book (Contact List).
  • 4. contacts folder could not be opened - distribution list error
I recently had to create a new profile to replace my clients existing corrupt profile. Now when he tries to use a distribution list he gets and error "the contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened". Thanks for any suggestions on how to remedy this.
  • 5. Outlook 2007(?) crashing when attaching file(s)
I am trying to troubleshoot/fix a client's Outlook. THe problem is that, inconsistently, Outlook will hang/crash when trying to attach a file. It does not matter what type of file, where the file is located, or if it is a new composition, reply or forward. Sometime it does it when outlook is first started, after it's been up & open for 30-60 min. or after being on & used for the whole day. I have already run the "Diagnostics" included with Outlook, in & out of safe mode. Reinstalled over current installation. Recreated a new profile, tested with another email server also. OS: Vista Home Mail: Outlook 2007(I think)

Block people from seeing your calendar????

Postby a2luZ21l » Fri, 27 Feb 2009 01:20:01 GMT

When you setup a new meeting request from your calendar and you invite
people, if you go to the chedulingtab and put your mouse over the blue
line next to the invitees name, it will show you all the meetings they have
that day and the description they entered.

Is there a way to block the person who is setting up the meeting from seeing
what's on the invitees calendar?

We use Outlook 2003

It only shows that if you have permission to view their calendar. (I think?)

1.Seeing other people's calendar details

Just curious how something is happening.

When I set up a new meeting and add attendees I can see where their
respective calendars are filled. In this view, where people's time is
blocked out, if I put my mouse pointer over this one person's blocked out
time I can see the subject, location, and attendees of their meeting. This
information appears in a box that pops up.

I can't get this information on other people, so I assume that this one
person has enabled some sort of option that allows people to view details of
their calendar.

Any idea on how this was done?

4.Stop people from seeing read request in Microsoft Outlook 2003

I have a couple people, at our company, who want to send messages to our
Sales staff, with read receipts, but they don't want the Sales group to get
prompted for the read receipt. They just want the read receipt to
automatically be returned. This way they can avoid having sales people deny
the request and allow the other two people the ability to see if Sales is
reading the required materials. In other words, how do we stop recipients
from seeing read request in Microsoft Outlook 2003? We are running
Microsoft Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition, for our mail server and Office
2003 on the client machines.

Thanks for your help,

Michael

5.People not seeing others appointments

I have a public folder calendar created, with two departments being able to
access it. Both departments were made publishing editors. I've now changed
them to owner.

The problem is that some people enter dates into the calendar, and the other
people can't see their data.

It's not a department thing as it's certain members in each department that
their appts aren't visible to the rest of the group. They don't have private
checked.

Thanks for the help
