In Outlook 2003 email when I click the "To" to retrieve an email address from the Contact folder I get a separate listing along with the email address, of every phone number, fax nunber and cell number. Is there a way in this view to just list the email address. I get lots of Dameons when I get in a hurry selecting recipients. I am sorry if this messages duplicates but when I went to post it said the page was unavailable.

  • 3. Why can't my email accounts settings be saved?
Ive just moved from one internetservise to another and of course I had to get new email account. Ive removed the old settings for the old email account from the outlook (at least I think I have done it right) and put the new one in, but every time I start my computer and outlook again, the old settings that I surly thought I had removed are back and the new ones I had made default are gone!! I'm getting really tired of setting the new account op every time I start op Outlook. What am I doing wrong?
  • 4. Why are messages are automatically marked read after about 10 min?
I receive phone messages that get automatically routed into my Call Pilot Message Store in outlook. All that pretty normal except that after about 10 minutes the message changes automatically from un-read (bold) to read. Does anyone know why this happens or what could be causing it? Thanks
  • 5. Problems with outlook not sending or receiving, ISP is fine.
I can no longer send and receive email in Outlook, I have confirmed with my ISP I have connection and are even able to send and receive email from another computer using the same address. I have set up new accounts to see if that made a difference but it does not. I have not made any changes to my computer for six months. Any ideas?

Thanks for that . I am on 2003 and the link provided useful info on how to
set the sytsem up. I have followed the instruction and I get an error
message that the 'write operation failed at url xxxxxxx'.

I have gone into the url via ftp and have verified that it does exist. I am
thinking that maybe the issue is that Outlook is not presenting a user name
and password to the web address. Do you know if I can set a user name that
will be used for the send job?

Thanks very much for your help.

Hi Alan,

I found this site with additional instruction if you use a username and
password:
 http://www.**--****.com/

"You must specify the user and password information in the FTP URL as
follows:
ftp://User: XXXX@XXXXX.COM /Usersfolder/Freebusy/<SMTP domain>/<SMTP
alias>.vfb"

5.Outlook 2007 Calendar-cannot share calendar with Free/Busy Permiss

I have a manager that insists that she could share her calendar and give only
Free/Busy permissions and the recipient could only see the blocked times
without being able to open/read anything.
When I try to share my calendar using "Share My Calendar" or manually
entering the Permissions for a recipient, the only way that they can see
anything is if it is set to Reviewer/Full Details. The Free/Busy seems to
work only when using the Scheduling Assistance where it shows you the
recipients blocked times so that meetings don't conflict. I tried copying my
calendar and the Permissions no longer show the Free/Busy option.
Is it possible to share the calendar with only Fee/Busy and no details?
