How can I do this? Thanks PF
Outlook 98/2000 in Internet Mail Only mode it was possible to do this since the Windows Address Book had a menu option to turn the support on. Microsoft removed the support from Outlook 2002/2003. You can try the steps at the bottom of http://www.**--****.com/ you can get it back, but if it causes issues, you can't blame Microsoft. :)
The only issue I know of is that it requires that outlook be running -this means Outlook will be running hidden (if not already open when you open OE) and Outlook will not close properly if OE is open when you exit outlook. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Author, Google and Other Search Engines (Visual QuickStart Guide) Outlook Tips: http://www.**--****.com/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.**--****.com/ Join OneNote Tips mailing list: http://www.**--****.com/
Funny that you should say that. We need to get this added to our "Why does Outlook stay resident" FAQs. ;)

1.Using Outlook Express address book for addressing word envelopes
The newer versions of Word use the addresses in Outlook, vs. those in the WAB file. You might want to import your contacts into Outlook and then see if all works as it should. Or failing that, ask the question in a newsgroup for Microsoft Word. -- Jim Pickering, MVP-Outlook Express Please reply only to newsgroup. 2.Outlook Address Book vs Outlook Express Address Book
Using Office 2000 you could share contacts between Outlook and the Outlook Express address book. Using 2003 you can't share them. I have two questions: 1. Is there any way to force (maybe a registry tweak) Outlook 2003 to share contacts with the Outlook Express address book? 2. How can I make a shortcut that will open the Outlook 2003 contact list? Thanks.
3.Using Outlook Address Book vice Windows address book
When I right click on an item as select sent to mail receipient it uses my windows address book, vice my Outlook address book. Since I don't want to update both how do I make it default to the Outlook book and contacts? -- Jeff Muz Work is victory. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
4.Sharing address book b/t Outlook 2002, Outlook Express, & Address Book
I know that the previous version (i.e. Outlook 2000) had a feature that permitted the sharing of the windows address book between Outlook, Outlook Express, and the address book simultaneously. I was wondering if there is a feature in the Windows XP address book, Outlook 2002, and/or Outlook Express that will allow me to set up this type of sharing. Any advice is much appreciated!
