Database System group

Postby Q2JlY2t3aXRo » Wed, 28 Apr 2010 03:30:01 GMT

I have a secured file, mdb not created in system.mdw. Is there an easy way to
import from a different mdw file into the system.mdw so that it doesn't
conflict with other databases that I use under the system.mdw?

Having trouble, and can't figure this out. Thanks, clois

Clarification: Access Version 2003, if this makes any difference...

2.Access System Ques. - No Group Exists for This

Application Error
The memory could not be "written".

There isn't a discu. group for this but I'm guessing that other system
developers like myself hang out here, so I'll try here...

This happens when trying to logon an Access application. None of the newer
PC's, all older, but not all the time. May work one day, next day no. Not in
the morning, ok in the afternoon. No reboot, or reboot, sometimes yes,
sometimes no. May go for weeks without problems. Not the same machines at the
same time.

Some net info suggested memory problems. Checking into that, since it only
happens to older machines.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks !

3.Using Current System Time to Select Groups of Records

Hi All

I have a set of data that includes a text field with phone number in
it. I would like to be able to select various numbers based on what
time of day the query is run.

For example, if the time is before 17:45, I would like phone numbers
that begin with 03 or 06 or 07 to be selected and if it is after
5:45pm, I'd like numbers that begin with 04 or 09.

I'm current using an Iif statement
IIf(Time()<#5:45:00 p.m.#,"033021842","095246060")
which works fine but only allows me to select one record.

If I modify the statement to be IIf(Time()<#5:45:00 p.m.#,Like "03*",
Like "09*"), I get no records at all when you would think it'd select
everything beginning like that. I've also tried IIf(Time()<#5:45:00
p.m.#,"Like '03*'", "Like '09*'") to no avail,

Ultimately, I'd like it to be something like IIf(Time()<#5:45:00
p.m.#,IN("03*","06*","07*"),IN("04*","09*"))

Can anyone help?

4.System Restore turned off by group policy

Recently infected with FatsoA worm. XP Pro. All clear now, main desktop and
admin. I have read many posts on this topic and have tried disabling SR and
DisableConfig. I have searched for other disable config in the registry-
none. I have downloaded patch #278 from Kelly's Korner (which is now stuck on
there). There are now SR tabs in System properties (and this is progress)
but it says it is turned off. Advice please?

Thanks for your help.

5.Missing Local Users and Groups folder in System Tools

I've just embarked on a mission to find out what's going on with
Administrative rights in XP, because of a problem Ie been involved in with
another User Group.

Going into Start > Control Panel (Classic View) > Administrative Tools >
Computer Management > System Tools, we should see:

Event Viewer
Shared Folders
Local Users and Groups
Performance Logs and Alerts
Device Manager

However, several of us have found that the Local Users and Groups folder is
missing, which raises three questions in my mind.

1.	Why should this be?
2.	Can we / should we do anything to remedy the deficiency?
3.	Could this affect the way the wneris recorded in the Registry,
against a new program that is installed, and hence affect Permissions?
