  • 1. ORA-01745: Invalid host/bind variable name
Greetings... When creating a new data set in SSRS 2005 I am receiving the below error attempting to execute the query. However with an older report I developed in SSRS 2000 I have the exact same query without any issues. ORA-01745: Invalid host/bind variable name In the data set 'Parameters' tab I have my parameter (:row) defined to map to a report parameter (Parameters!row.Value). Anyone ever run into this with 2005? Does SP1 fix it? Cheers... Ben Sullins

  • 3. Setup - 401
I am trying to setup Reporting Services for the first time. I am to the point of testing my installation by going to /ReportServer. I am given a 401 error. The web site is using Windows Authentication. The DefaultAppPool is running under a domain account. I have the following local groups on the server- SQLServer2005ReportingServicesWebServiceUser SQLServer2005ReportServerUser Reporting Service Configuration placed the domain account in both groups. What am I missing?

RS 2000 & RS 2005

Postby AVG » Sat, 15 Jul 2006 21:50:21 GMT

From other posts I have read, I understand that SQL Server 2000 and 2005 can
co-exist on the same machine.
What about RS 2000 and RS 2005?
This is a development machine and I need to be able to create and deploy
reports in both versions?

TIA,

Yep. Your virtual directories will have different names for Reports and
Reportserver.

2.URL access when running both RS 2000 and RS 2005

We're running IIS6 and SQL 2000 on a development box and recently added SQL
2005 as a named instance. RS was installed and we have double virtual
directories in IIS as expected.

When we try to call a reporting service report via URL in our application,
we do the Response.Redirect("/reportserver?/foldername/reportname") and it
works fine. In moving the reports to SQL 2005 RS, we want the reportserver?
call to go to out name instance in SQL Server 2005. Where do I change the
configuration so that the URL call goes to the right instance for report
generation?

Thanks -

4.Problem re-installing RS 2000 where RS 2005 was installed

Hi all..

I have installed RS 2005 but I got so many problems (I think because it is a
beta version?) so I decided to re-install RS 2000.

To do that, I uninstall RS 2005 first, and then install RS2000. After
installation, RS 2000 didn't work anymore. For example, when trying to load
Report Manager I received errors like "xmlns" isn't recognized in web.config
of Default Web Site, or access denied to global.asax.

I'm trying to install RS 2000 evaluation version. Do you have experience
about RS 2005 uninstallation? How can I make my RS 2000 to work again? Any
other suggestion?

I also tell you that when I installed RS 2005 I installed VS.NET 2005 too
(with ASP.NET 2.0). When I uninstalled RS 2005, I have uninstalled ASP.NET
2.0 too but maybe something was left in the system that is in conflict.

Thanks
Jaime

5.Exports reports from RS 2000 to RS 2005

Hello,

I need to export reports from RS 2000 to 2005 but I have problems
using rsscripter utility. The folders and datasources were imports to
RS 2005 properly. But the problems are the reports. I got the
following error when I ran the rsscript.cmd file:

SetReportDatasources is not a member of
Microsoft.SqlServer.ReportingServices2005.ReportingService2005.

1. Is there any fix to resolve this error?
2. Are there another ways to export/import reports from 2000 to 2005?

Please, I need help ASAP.
