Instead of saving directly from Word, save the file on your hard drive and
use DVD-burning software to copy the file to the DVD.

1.DVD/CD-RW Drive not recognized
I recently replaced my DVD/CD-RW drive, but now when I boot up, a get a
screen indicating that Drive 5 cannot be found. The computer continues
through startup after that, but the DVD/CD-RW drive is not recognized. Do I
need a new driver? Is there something I can do to have the computer search
for the drive? Please help.
I can click the button on the drive itself and it will open and close and
the light will come on, but it isn't reading disks. I use Microsoft Office XP
Professional. Thx

5.Problem Saving Word XP files to DVD/CD RW
When trying to save Word XP files to the DVD/CD RW drive
I get an error messing stating "The disk is full or too
many file are open". The disk is not full and there are
no other files open.
I have tried using freshly formatted DVD & CD disks with
the same result.
This does not occur with any other Office XP programs or
any other programs on my PC.
Using DLA to drag files in Explorer or My Computer works
fine.
Word will save files to the hard drive & the 3-1/2"
floppy drive without any problem.
