I want to automatically prompt users and then update with the response in certain places within proposal documents. For example, we have proposals that currently have CUSTOMER NAME appearing throughout a document, or DATE appearing in footers. I want to automatically ask the proposal users what the CUSTOMER NAME should be; then, once they respond, to have Word automatically update their answer in all the places that CUSTOMER NAME appears. This would be faster than using Find and Replace. Similarly, I'd like the user to be asked to populate the DATE with the date in the future they choose (not a field code date). This will alleviate time for the many folks who use these documents on a daily basis. More importantly, it will eliminate the potential of the user forgetting to make updates in all the needed places. Since these are proposals, these are important quality issues to us. Does anyone have any idea on how to make this prompting be automatic and the subsequent response automatically populate too? Any guidance will be helpful.

I am producing a newsletter in Word. However, one person is submitting an article in Microsoft Publisher format. Is there a way I can import the Publisher article into Word? Both programs are 2003. When I try to open a Publisher document into Word, I only get odd symbols. Any help would be appreciated.

In Word 2002...when I choose save as and open a new folder to place document
in I automatically loose the original name of the document which is replaced
by the name of any document I pass my cursor over.

Are you sure that you are not clicking on the file names rather than just
passing over them.

A definite click of the Left mouse button is required here to select the
name of a document in the folder and for the name of that document to appear
in the filename box.

Hope this helps.

3.Microsoft Office "Save In" box malfunction

When I'm using any of the Microsoft Office applications and I go to the Save

a different folder, the hour glass icon comes on and I'm stalled at this
point. Opening the Task Manager window shows the name of the document listed
twice and in each line "Not Responding". I've tried updating Office (I'm
completely up-to-date), and I've run the Detect and Repair feature--neither

4."Auto Recovery Save" Malfunction

As usual, I frequently saved the file. While moving around
some MS word graphics, Word started working very slowly. I
closed the files, then closed the program, then powered
down and automatically restarted. When I went back to Word
to open the file, I couldn't find it??? Then found an
Autorecovery save in the "Recent documents" on the start
menu. I click on the icon and get the following message.

"The drive or network connection that the
shortcut 'Autorecovery save of my file name.lnk' refers to
is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly
inserted or the file network is available."

I have unsuccessfully tried searching several times for
the .asd file, for files with similar names, but couldn't
find it even in the "hidden files." Where should I look
for the missing file? Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks.
