  • 1. How do I hide tabs in File Properties?
    Hello: After composing and saving a document MS Word 2003, if I right click on the folder, I get 4 "tabs" of information. General, Revisions, Custom and Summary. Is there a way to hide or eliminate all but the General tab? There are times when I send an MS Word file to a client and I don't want them to see the information in the other tabs. Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi, Can we have master detail relationship or multiple entities in word Mail-Merge? For example I need to create a mail merge to send to our customers and tell them this order items will be shipped next week. To accomplish that, I have to list order items related to each customer within each mail. I have no problem with arranging data in a excel sheet or access database in any mail merge friendly shape. Is it possible? Thank you, Max

  • 5. entire contents of doc now included in a field?
    In a Word document, I was creating a caption (Alt + i n c) and maybe I hit an incorrect key. Word froze for a few minutes, and then scrolled to the first page of the document, and in print layout I could not scroll or use document map to get below the TOC which is on the second page of the document. Some of the section breaks had become protected, and I was able to turn that off with the forms toolbar. I am able to see all the text by using normal and reading layout views. The entire contents of the doc is highlighted in gray as though it's one big field. When I select text, it makes me select the entire document. When I do shift + F9, the entire contents disappears and all I see is { FORMTEXT }. Can I get my doc back?

In one document the frames I insert have no border (no delimiting visible
line). In another they do have a single black line. How do I change that
option? I don't see anything like that in the Frames window.

2.Removing TextBox Frame (Border) in Drawing Canvas

Hi,

I'm using Word 2007. I have a macro that will remove the frame (border)
around Textboxes in a document, but it doesn't work if the TextBox is in a
Drawing Canvas. Can anyone help provide a solution for removing frames
around TextBoxes in a Drawing Canvas? Here is the code that work for Text
Boxes not in a Drawing Canvas:

Sub Remove_Frames_From_Text_Boxes()
'
' Remove_Frames_From_Text_Boxes Macro
'
'
    Dim shp As Shape

    For Each shp In ActiveDocument.Shapes
        If shp.Type = msoTextBox Then
            shp.Line.Visible = msoFalse
            End If
    Next shp

' Finished; go back to the start of the document and quit.

    Selection.HomeKey Unit:=wdStory

End Sub

5.Using Frames and Borders

When visiting a friend yesterday, she was trying to compose a word doc with
a border around the outer of the page. However, whenever she used print
preview or tried to print it, the bottom section was missed.

Would this be able to be corrected in Page Setup? When I got home and tried
the same thing on my computer, it previewed and printed perfectly so I am
not sure what her problem is.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks.
