Can anyone tell me how to get my Word links to convert in Adobe Acrobat? I am using Acrobat 8.0 Standard, Microsoft Word 2003, and Windows XP Home Edition. When I converted an e-book (363 pages) I wrote in Microsoft Word 2003 to a .PDF file using Acrobat 8.0 Standard, I had a problem with the conversion of hyperlinks. The hyperlinks in the table of contents converted just fine. Those hyperlinks were generated in Word using the "Insert/Reference/Index and Tables/Table of Contents" tabs. However, I inserted many other hyperlinks throughout the Word document using the "Copy" and "Paste as Hyperlink" functions under the "Edit" tab. Those hyperlinks link words to the glossary, appendices, and other sections of the document. After the conversion to .PDF, all those "Copy/Paste as Hyperlink" hyperlinks link back to page 1 of the Acrobat document instead of linking to the sections of the document I assigned them to in Word. • 2. Remove Angle Brackets from Field Code Text
How do I prevent the angle brackets that enclose a field code from appearing in my document? These brackets look like this: <field code text> I'm using Word 2007. Scenario: I want the Document Title that is typed on the cover page to appear in the footers. To achieve this, first I created a style named "Document Title." Then, on the footer of the second page, I inserted a field code by clicking: Insert > Quick Parts > Field > Links and References > StyleRef > Document Title. After typing the document title on the cover page, it appears in the footer, but the angle brackets are still there. For example, if I type "Training Manual" the cover using the "Document Title" style, this is what appears in my footers: <Training Manual> Thank you in advance for your assistance.

When converting a microsoft word 2000 document to adobe acrobat 8.0 standard I receive an error message "The Acrobat PDFMaker Server could not be loaded. Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?" Has anyone seen this error before?
  • 4. MSWord Markup
When I send a word document by email to another individual, the markup function is always activated. How do I turn the markup function off permanently so that the markup information is not displayed when someone else opens the document. I have tried closing the document first before emailing but this does not seem to work.

Hi - How can I paste a WORD or Excel document into a table cell - when I copy the icon, then paste it into the cell, the whole document opens up and is displayed within the cell. I just want the icon to be pasted so users can open it up as needed. Thanks! -- KARENH

Converting a Form to PDF in Word

Postby a2Rsc21pdGg » Sat, 03 Nov 2007 06:28:00 GMT

Hello,

I have a Word to PDF conversion problem.

I have created a form in Word 2003 that I want to convert into a PDF.

My only fields are "Text Form Field" and "Checkbox Form Field." I use the
LifeCycle function in Acrobat Professional 8 to automatically identify form
information and convert my Word form into a PDF form (as I have over 400
standard checkboxes I don't want to do this manually).

Text Form Fields are only converted when they are underlined with a solid
black line (white underlining doesn't work) or in a table that has at least
one border line. Not the best answer but I can live with it.

Checkboxes are not recognized at all (something to do with HML/XML coding
issue?). Does anyone know how to trick Acrobat into "seeing" my checkboxes?
Due to presentation, I can't used underlined text fields.

thank-you
karen

You may want to ask this question in a programming newsgroup, such as
microsoft.public.word.vba.general, where you are more likely to get
knowledgeable help.
