  • 2. In Word my envelopes print with gray or blue letters. Regular doc.
When using Word envelope function, the envelope text prints gray or gray blue unless I manually select black (auto is default) in the printer setup. Regular docs are OK. Also, the message portion of Outlook e-mail prints gray even though gray shading is not checked is Options.
  • 3. Master Document or Includetext
Hi, I have a client that wants to use the master document feature. They have a legal document that they want to convert to subdocs and use these subdocs in more than one file. They also want to use this master doc as a form to enter text and dropdown's with if statements throughout the document. This then will be saved as a template so they can reuse this master to create new legal documents from it. The document itself is only about 22 pages in length. The reason they want this Master document is that they want to be able to update a subsection/subdocument once and have it updated in all the master documents that this subdoc in inserted. Is this going to be possible? Thanks Steve
  • 4. Styles templates in a MultiLanguage environment
You can use the wdBuiltinStyle constants. For example, the Normal style can be referenced by wdStyleNormal: Debug.Print ActiveDocument.Styles(wdStyleNormal).NameLocal would print to the Immediate Window (Direktfstret) the local name of the Normal style (which is "Normal" in English and Swedish). For a list of all wdBuiltinStyle constants look in the Object Browser (Objektgranskning) in the Visual Basic Editor. "Jan Holmbom" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM > wrote in message news: XXXX@XXXXX.COM ... > When starting up a MS/Word document in a Swedish version the default > startup Style for a new document will be "Normal". This is the case > for many language versions of the program. But for others the default > style will be named different f.i. "Standard". > > If you in VBA-code refer to the style by name and uses "Normal" you > will run into problem in those versions. So my question is: > > Is there an other way to refer to the default style else then by its > name in VBA? > > > Best Regards/Jan Holmbom

Auto Text suddenly started to work. Never mind for now.

Don't know what happened, but as soon as I left Word and had to go back to do another letter, the auto text began to work for me. Weird. Thanks for listening anyway. I'm sure I'll be back.

3.how to add a word to auto text that autopopulates when I start it

I dont know how to add the word that I want to automatically populate once I
start it. I want the words to be added to the general body of letters, not
just signature lines or headers/footers ect. Like it was pre-VISTA. not sure
what we are even calling this...these days....I think it's still "auto-text"
but this feature is not as user friendly as it used to be. (well for me)

4.auto text.;start a word and it self populates remaining letters

In the old porgram I could set up words or phrases that when started would
automoatically finish....like altho....would automiatically populate
'although'. A title, 'System Director, Emergency .....would automatically
finish the rest of the title...System Director, Emergency SErvices and
Disaster Management'

The auto test command in this program is not the same. you have to clic
on the icon and click on a word that will them be added to the document.

5.Auto Text problem everytime Word starts

I am experiencing a problem with Word and what I believe
may be Auto Text or text recovery. Everytime I start a
blank worksheet in Word I get several lines of a past
letter I typed showing up. The letter was never saved
and was deleted. I have checked the 'normal' template
which it uses and it is fine, no text on it. However,
when I open Word I get the same few lines of text each
and every time. It is also doing it to e-mails now as I
use Word as the e-mail editor and it's becoming very
annoying. Does anyone know what can be causing this???
Any help will be much appreciated.
