2. word 2002 properties help needed
word 2002 need help trying to set the properties up in my word program that will tell me who has been opening, changing or deleting, or moving to another directory my documents. Is it possible and if so can someone please tell me how to do it. I do not understand the custom things at all and now have it so bad that when I go to save the properties box comes up but it can not be added to or changed (grey? out). What have I done now???????? Help please
3. Numbering with Bullets
Nearly every time I attempt to use numbered bullets, my screen freezes. I have to close Word and restart thus losing quite a lot of work, normal bullets don't seem to give the same problems. Is there anyone out there who can help me?
4. Overline in TOC
Hi, I am trying to overline H1 styled paragraphs in the TOC. I am using a top parahraph border to accomplish this, however there is a problem if 2 of these H1 styled parahraphs are next to eachother (the paragraph only has a top border on the first element). Does anyone know how I can combine the EQ field code to overline TOC content or insert an empty paragraph (or line break) after each H1 element in the TOC? thanks in advance! keith
5. after ftp, Word can't open
I ftp-ed a .doc from computer A to a web site, then ftp-ed from that web site to computer B. But when I try to open it with Word on B, it says it can't find it and the path/permissions must be wrong. The doc seems to have an internal component of some sort that contains the absolute path on computer A (eg C:\Documents and Settings\Jane\...), which of course is quite wrong for computer B (which doesn't have a User Jane). So far the only workaround is to use Word on computer B to open the document directly on the internet, change one character, and Save As to a place on computer B, then close the web document, open the newly saved document on B, correct the changed character, and Save. This is ridiculous. How can I tell Word on B to ignore irrelevant path names on other computers?

Does anyone have any idea why a document would
suddenly stop allowing me to update all fields? When
I select the entire document and right-click, "Update Field"
is grayed out. However, I _can_ click on an invidual field and
right-click to show "Update Field". Any help welcomed,

I can't think of a reason for this off hand, but it is worth creating a
macro to update fields and the macro at the following link will update all
fields in the document  http://www.**--****.com/

2.?? Why am I Asked to Install Office Update ??

Hi everyone,

This has been annoying me for several months now.

I have a Vista 64 machine. Office 2007 is *NOT* installed on this machine 
yet Microsoft Update constantly tells me I have two available updates:

2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 1 (SP1)
Update for the Microsoft 2007 Office System (KB946691)

Why am I constantly prodded to install updates for products I do not have 
installed?

5.mail merge field appears gray when merged and then prints the gray

I am hoping someone can help me on this.  When I put together a merged letter 
it works fine.  All of the merged information appears in a gray box.  Next, 
when I am attempting to print the letter the gray shading will also print.  I 
have tried everything to get the gray not to print.  Can anyone help me on 
this, please?  Thank you.
