Where in Word program, I am able to change Separator line Length that appears between Footnotes and main text.
In Normal view, go to View | Footnotes. On the toolbar of the Footnote pane there is a dropdown list box. Choose Footnote Separator or Footnote Continuation Separator. You can't actually change the line, but you can delete it and substitute something else (you can also copy/paste it if you want a longer line). -- Suzanne S. 1.separator line length in Footnote section?
Why I am not able to change Length of separator line between footnote and main text in Word program? Where can i change it?
2.Footnote Separator Followed by Line Space
I have a line space between my footnote separator and my first footnote. The footnote style has "0" points before each footnote ("6" points after to force space in between). I can't find a way to get rid of the line space after the seperator. I have tried going to normal view, view footnotes, then delete it, but nothing happens. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
3.Footnote Separator Line Disappears
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel This question was posted by someone in September; no reply is shown.

When I insert a footnote in a Word for Mac document, a line separates the last line of text from the footnote. Then the separating line disappears. I've tried re-doing the footnotes numerous times.

Also, is there a way to apply the style of a footnote reference number (in text) to all of them? I modified the style to superscript, but the others are in Style 1. If I select all, it selects the whole document (which is in Style 1).

Thanks, I have wasted my whole morning on this.
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Hello,

I'm writing a long document with dozens of footnotes, and on some pages the footnotes appear with a short line separating the footnotes from the text, and on other pages there is no line. I'd like to have the lines all throughout the document. How do I make the lines appear above the footnotes throughout the document?

Thank you!
