  • 1. How to create a link from paragraph heading to an alphabetical ind
I'm creating a song list in Microsoft Word 2007. I've started listing the songs alphabetically with a heading A: song 1, song 2..., B: song 1, song 2...and so on. I have weblinked all song titles but the list is at 40 pgaes long and it takes some time to navigate. What I'm attempting to do is at the top of the first page create a alphabetical index A - Z and link each list heading for the sons A through Z to the index A - Z so that to go to songs listed under G for instance, one can select the letter G from the index at the top of the page and it wil take you to the G song listings on whatever page it is located on. I've tried several options with "links" bookmark, hyperlink, cross-reference and even "mark entry" with no success. Any help on this much appreciated.
  • 2. Citation Language
When I insert a citation, Word uses a language different from that which the paper is being written in.-- it uses the word "ja" (Finnish for and) instead of using thw word and. My regional setting are setup for English, as is the language of the document. What is Word using to determne the language it should use for this citation?

  • 4. Word 2007 corrupts Word 2003 created template
About a year ago i created a template using Word 2003. Our company has recently upgraded a number of computers and now a significant amount of us have moved to Word 2007. When opening the documents created using this template, Word 2007 will open corrupted versions, while 2003 opens them correctly. After scrolling down about 10 pages, the screen hangs, the Word window displays lots of thin 'page tops', which duplicate the more you scroll down, instead of displaying the pages below. It will also display header errors, with numbering appearing in the middle of pages. I have tried to copy and paste the document content into blank documents, but this appear to carry the error with it, and when opening in Word 2007, the new documents also have the same problem. I am fresh out of ideas and the only remaining option i can see is to create PDF versions of the 8 reports that have been written using the template, then painstakingly convert them all back to a new 'clean' template i need to create. This is the only way i can think of breaking the chain that carries the error? Has anyone got any ideas, or an explanation of what has happened here? I can provide a screenshot if this will help at all. Thanks in advance for your help. Ollie

Exporting AutoCorrect Entries into a Text File

Postby TmFycmF0ZWsgSm9l » Mon, 20 Jun 2005 03:11:02 GMT

I need to get AutoCorrect entries into some sort of text file. Is there any
way to do this? Using various versions of Word: 2000, 2002, 2003.

When I installed Office 2008 on my home computer it deleted my autocorrect entries. I have a lot of specific keystrokes and autocorrect entries I use for formatting my law school homework. But now I can't find the correct files that contain the custom autocorrect information under the new Office 2008 filesystem. Where do I go to get the autocorrect and keystroke files?

2.Export Autocorrect entries MAC to PC

I use Word X to format and expand notes in shortened English prepared
on a PDA. The autocorrect feature is very useful and holds thousands
of entries. I have to start using another machine running Word 2000
for Windows.
How do I export my list, i.e, where is it on the Mac, and where should
it go so that it can be found on the PC? It will become the default
list for the application on the PC.

Many thanks for any help.

3.Export AutoCorrect Entries

Does anyone know how to transfer AutoCorrect Entries from one user on Word
2003 to another user on Word 2003. I was able to print out the AutoCorrect
Entry List but would rather not have to type in all of them again. I saw a
knowledge base article on moving word AutoCorrect Entries between computers
in word 2000 but nothing on word 2003.

Thanks for the help.
