Every 10 seconds, my cursor changes to an hourglass and I'm forced to stop typing. I've checked every setting I can find with no luck. As I do a lot of work in Word, this problem is driving me nuts! Please help.
  • 2. Page numbers - Word is confused
I am having trouble with my inserted page numbers because Word is confused about my pages. It thinks my doc is numbered: 2,3,3,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 instead of 1-10. (That's what it shows when I scroll through the doc and what it shows in the lower left box). How on Earth do I fix that?? I don't think it's a section break problem because I don't have any in there. Thanks.
  • 3. Custom Toolbar won't display
Hello: We have made a dozen word templates with a individual custom toolbars linked to styles (and outline numbering). The only way we can get these custom toolbar to display on documents based on the templates is if the .dot is saved into the Templates folder. However, we want to add them to subfolder in Templates (just to keep them all in one place and not mix them with all out other .dot's) and if we do this, the toolbars won't display on different PCs. I would appreciate any help or info you can give me.
  • 4. About Digital Signatures
Hi, two questions I have a "Code Signing" type certificate I bought at Verisign The "Code Signing" type certificates can be updated without requesting a brand new one? If it can be done, does my code (some Word's macros) recognize the new certificate or it is necessary to specify the certificate again? Thanks

3.solid line for signing above typed name in legal document

I am writing a legal document and need to add a solid line above the parties'
names for them to sign the agreement..., but I have been unable to achieve
this very simple task this time...
If I use the -/_ key, I get a solid line from side-to-side of the paper...
(I only want a line 'above' each name) ...
If I use the Underline icon (from the toolbar) + ----, I get '------
(underlined)' ...
If I use the Underline icon (from the toolbar) + (space bar), I get '
           ' ...
Please help me ASAP...

4.typed characters are not displayed/other character set is displaye

I have typed in word numerous times. However I'm hitting some combination of
keys that changes the letter set. This may be windows, because this also has
happened to me on messenger. I'm running Windows XP.
I can type an entire document and at some point I hit other keys and the
entire character set is messed up. I have to restart my machine. I don't
know what combination of keys, but I'd like to know if I could correct it
without restarting my computer.
Thanks in advance.
