  • 2. How can I save my choice of printer as part of a document?
Windows 2003 I use 2 printers. When I select one for a document, Word automatically chooses that printer for the next document, until I go into the Print menu & change it to the other printer. I have certain documents/templates that I re-use and that I'll always want to print on a specific printer; I'd like to include that printer choice as part of the document, rather than sometimes having to specifically select it because the previous document was printed on the second printer. Is it possible to save the document in such a way that the printer I've chosen for that document will automatically be the same the next time I print out the document? Actually, I thought that was the SOP in the past. Thanks!
  • 3. inserting page numbers
Hello, This problem started recently. Everytime I do an Insert>page number, I get the following text on the page I am typing in: {PAGE}. When I do a print view and even when I actually print the pages out, the numbers are correctly inserted as 1,2 whatever. But it's only when I actually do the Insert Page step that I get the above text in place of the actual number. WHy is this happening? Please help me.
  • 4. Differentiate between Save And AutoSave
Hi All, I am developing word addin using VSTO / vb 2005 / Office 2007. Actually I need Word's DocumentAfterSave event, which unfortunately not supported in Word Object Model. So I trapped DocumentBeforeSave event of Application object for that purpose. But unfortunately, Save button's event OR Word's AutoSave event calls same DocumentBeforeSave event. So I need to differentiate between these 2 calls. How I can check whether the call to DocumentBeforeSave is coming from Save Button's click event or it is coming from AutoSave internally? Thanks in advance, Dhananjay
  • 5. Another form of custom numbering
Hi... Our company produces documents that follow the specific numbering format of: 1 Title 1.1 1.2 1.2.1 1.2.2 2 Title 2 2.1 2.2 2.2.1 2.2.2 2.2.2.1 and so on... I've been using the different header styles for making the table of contents and formatting control, but I can't figure out how to get that numbering going automatically. Since we shift document contents around a lot, doing it manually is a brutal amount of work in a document with up to a hundred sub-sections... Can anyone help me figure this one out?

without disturbing the format of the document. Whe pushed, the tab button
