Tools - Options - Print, remove the check next to Drawing Objects (I think it was still called this in Word 2002). -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://www.**--****.com/ Web: http://www.**--****.com/
1.Word 2000 - Printing Text Boxes, text is not printing
Hi, I have a document that has a header page that is blank followed by 3 pages of data that contain text boxes. The 3 pages are repeated each time for a different person. My software populates data into these text boxes. When this document is produced and I open it, it looks fine (it is saved as .rtf). But when I print it, the first few pages of data are blank with empty text boxes. The text that was in the text boxes has dissapeared. But, the same 3 pages that are repeated, at the end of my document for one person print fine. I tried saving the document as .doc but this made no difference. I have also entered in tools->options that the drawing options is ticked under the print tab. I am using Word 2000 and a colleague is using 2002 and we both have the same issue printing the same document. However, another colleague using Word 2003 can print it fine. It is really strange. I can send the document to you. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
2.inserting text box - text does not move from under text box
When inserting a text box the underlying text does NOT move out of the way? In older WORD program the text would move.
3.text inside a text box is not printing properly
I am using microsoft word in microsoft office xp professional. I have always been able to print documents perfectly. However, when I print a document now, the text prints out perfectly except for any text inside a text box. Text inside text boxes appears to be 'double-focused' or looks as if it has been 'smudged'. I've been communicating with the printer manufacturer (HP) and tried all the options they suggested such as inserting new cartridges, cleaning cartridges, re-setting default printer, etc. They have concluded that the printer is working fine, and that the problem stems from the specific application i am printing from (i.e. microsoft word). Any suggestions as to why only text inside a text box is not printing properly?
4.Text Boxes not showing text inside on print Word 2002
In Word 2002 (XP) we are using rtf files and using text boxes inside of these files. In editing mode, the text positioned inside the text box looks fine, but when we print or print preview no text shows up in any of the text boxes. Can anyone help?
I have a document with many overlapping text boxes, each of which is filled with a semi-transparent colour. In print preview, the colours and text all display. However, on printing the document, the text is not printed for all of the text boxes. It is for some of them. (and always the same ones) The colours always print. Any ideas? (I do have print drawing objects switched on) Thanks
