jpg image files from HP ScanJet 5300C (used 256 color) inserted into Word 2000 print pink and black when printed from Word 2000. Actual image is black and light green. Word show correct colors on monitor. Moved Word 2000 file to network PC with Word XP and opened it. Saved as Word XP file. Printed on same hpdesktop 960c printer that was attached to PC with Word 2000 on it. Image colors are correct! Similar file and images created on Word 97 before Word 2000 installed did not have the problem. Also did not have problem when the 6 month old file was opened with Word 2000 and printed to same printer.
  • 3. Word DDE graphics filter problem
This works fine in all versions of Word except Word XP ( now also upgraded to SP2) I am using Windows XP Professional Using DDE from Access V2 (16 bit) to insert a JPG or BMP image into a frame in a Word document. Wordbasic command uses INSERTPICTURE command (see below) Error message : Run-time Error '1286' - the graphics filter was unable to convert this file The filename is then displayed. Debug points to following statement : WordBasic.InsertPicture Name:="O:\pic\PL1654_1.JPG" All help would be very gatefully received ! PS, a manual Insert Picture from file works fine (so the graphics filter is installed OK) - it is only the DDE/Wordbasic environment that produces the error ! Same problem on Windows 2000 rinning XP Office. Cannot find any reference to this in Microsoft knowledgebase or Google groups.

Whenever I try to save a picture from the web and insert it into Word, it comes in blank. Also, when I save the picture, the only options are .art and .bmp. Do these not work with Word? Do I need to have some program on my computer to do this?

Microsoft Word 2002 Equation 3.0 editor does NOT work like the Microsoft Word 2000 Equation editor. Are there any patches to fix the things that weren't broken but now are? I tried (along with numberous Word experts) to type a certain type of equation and it won't work. Works just fine and dandy on Word 2000 but not on the 2002. HELP! Thanks for any advice you can give me. Colleen

Font color change using toolbar

Postby ZGVlbWFj » Fri, 30 Jul 2004 02:12:03 GMT

There are two ways to change font color. First is to click Format/Font on the toolbar. Second is to establish button by Tools/Customize/Commands/Format/Font Color then click-and-hold, drag to toolbar and release. This establishes font-color- change button with down-pointing arrow which shows colors available if different color is wanted.

But only sometimes. Some times I click on down-arrow and nothing happens until I use first method (Format/Font), after which down-arrow shows colors available like it should. Even when down-arrow is not working, font-color-change button will change highlighted text to whatever color is showing under button at the time.

How to make down-arrow button work ALL the time?

1.Using the toolbar font color button, I want to switch between 2 co

Is this possible? I know I can have two "font color buttons" in the toolbar,
but they are always the same color. I want to have one be black and another
one be a different color, without having to always select the other color.
Can anyone give me some guidance?

2.How do I view toolbar with font color, font size, etc in Adobe 8

Using Adobe Acrobat 8 - I was inserting text boxes into a document, at one
time there was a toolbar showing that let me select the font size, style etc.
for the text in the text box. Went back later to fix text and toolbar was
gone, how do I get this toolbar back?

4.How do I change the background color and font color in word docum

I have my word docs with a blue background and white font - for easier
vision. However, my job wants me to use black. When I pull up their standard,
all of the settings change, in black on white. How can I change to black on
white and not lose the settings on the document?

5.Remove "recently-used fonts" section from font list on toolbar

In Word 2003, I use the drop-down font list on the toolbar when I'm trying
different fonts. However, it's frustrating to have to keep scrolling to the
last font used to then continue scanning the font list.

I would like the drop-down menu to start with the current font selected
rather than at the top.

Would it work like that if I removed the "recently-used fonts" section? If
so, how do I do that? And/or, is there a keyboard shortcut that overrides the
recent-font section?

Any solution or workaround would be appreciated. Thanks!
