1. Graphics in Word Header Causing System Crashes
Hi all. I am the marketing director for a medium sized business with various computers and various operating systems. The employees needed letterhead in Word, so I created it with the information in the header and footer. The header and footer each have a text box and jpeg. Five of our 100 computers can not open the document. When they try to open it they get an error message asking if they want to report the problem to Microsoft. After the report is sent, the confirmation box pops up and, when you click the "details" line, it leads you to a Microsoft web page that says you may require updates. After running the updates, rebooting the computer, and praying, nothing changes. Same problem. Same five people. Anyone had a similar experience and have a solution to share?
2. How do I change the default picture compression?
When I change the compression on an imbedded picture to "no change", it does not save the setting after hitting apply.
3. graphic looks jagged
When I place a "picture" (graphic exported from adobe illustrator as a .wmf file) into the header area it ends up looking jagged. I am using word 2003.
4. Graphics resize error in Word 2003
I am fighting with the problem that a graphic, created in the word graphics editor, is shown (and printed) zoomed, i.e. shown only partially within the graphic objects boundaries. This is not the case for Word 2000 or Word 2007 on the same PC. How can I control the display ? How can I test and get the cause for the malfunction? Reinstallation does not help. This behavior is only valid on this PC, on others PCs it displays fine, with the same files. ????? Does anybody know the answer?
5. I can't connect my text boxes and arrows
At my school computer I can connect the text boxes and the arrows at certain places. In my laptop I can't. Is there anything i'm missing?

SOME REASON WHEN I GO INTO WORD...IT COMES UP TOO, AND I AM TRYING TO 
COMPLETE A NEWSLETTER THAT IS OVER DUE AND i CANNOT INSERT PICS PLEASE PLEASE

2.Word 2007 Template and image/pic insertion - help please

Hi - I've been over in Template-land for a few days, they suggested I come 
chat with you.

I'm using the 6pp 2 col newsletter template from the MS site. I would LOVE 
to learn how to get my pictures into the document and have text flow around 
them. I'd also love to learn how to do the same with pull-quotes.

Basic setup of the template is through text boxes. I know how to insert the 
image (insert ->picture->click image name) but can't figure out if I create a 
new text box for the image, or insert it into an existing text box that 
contains my verbiage. I also have had NO luck at all with the text wrap 
function, regardless of how I do the picture insertion. I will give my right 
arm for a coherent step by step process. (And yes, I have read through the 
posts here about inserting, and I've also gone through online help via the 
program itself, and have had no satisfaction.)

It's never been this awkward before - Word 07 seems to be so unlike the 
prior versions (been a user for about 15 years, maybe longer). And the Word 
templates don't function at all the way Publisher did years ago (and I no 
longer have publisher, anyway).
