I had the same problem for one of my users. To fix go to Tools->Options->View Tab. In the "Show Section" there is a check box that says Show picture placeholder. Make sure that that is unchecked. The problem sould be fixed. Timothy Graves DRL showing up unless I print or go to preview. How can I fix this?
Hi Tim That is "checked" and the placeholders are showing up, but not the images. Any other suggestions? We're getting pretty frustrated Thanks much Amy
Without any quoted context, I don't know what is checked, but "Picture placeholders" should *not* be checked. Any other suggestions? We're getting pretty frustrated.
1.Images don't show complete while scrolling in MS Word 2003
Image don't show complete while scrolling in MS Word 2003. If I change the view to "Reading Layout", the images show complete. Is there any error somewhere. I have a new PC with 512 MB DDR RAM.
2.images don't show up in microsoft office 2003?
Has anyone figured out a way to have images show up in Word 2003 since the July 2004 postings?? In my document I don't have "Picture Placeholders" checked but I still don't have the images showing up consistently. When I have an image viewable scrolling up or down past the image will cause that portion of the image to vanish. Resizing the document is the only way for the image to reappear.
3.Images don't show up in Word 2004
I am running the same version of word 2004 on two macs running the same operating system (10.4.11), and on one images show up just fine, and on the other, images insert without a hitch, but don't show up in any "view" other than print preview. They print fine, but I also cannot select an image, whether it be clip art or an image from disk, in order to resize, reposition, etc. Any ideas? It's really frustrating!
4.linked images don't show in word 2000
I have tried everything I can think of, but when I create a document in Word2000 and insert a picture as a link, it shows fine, until I save then reload the document. If I use alt F9 it shows as: {INCLUDEPICTURE "c:\\test\\header.jpg" \* MERGEFORMAT \d} The problem is I am trying to keep the file size down since the file will be saved in RTF format later for use as a template in a web application, and as an RTF file with images in grows in size considerably this is the only way I can think of. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards Peter
I have a Word document where I've inserted a number of gif images, but when I sent to others, they cannot see the images at all. They get some strange icon (triangular in shape) ... instead of the dreaded red x, which is what they were getting before I reinserted the images. Surely there must be a work around for this. I know that 97 is problematic in this area, but it's what I'm stuck with until we upgrade to 2003, early next year. Thanks for any help. Diana
