IIRC, the Page Bordsers are stored in a .dll of some sort but knowing any more about it will do you no good as far as using your custom border in Word. The document structure, file structure & design of the programs are radically different. Even though a comparable feature is available in one doesn't mean that everything about it is available in the other. In this case, the nature of Publisher allows it to support custom borders, the design of Word does not. -- Regards |:>) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac "BobC" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM > wrote in message news: XXXX@XXXXX.COM ... > I'm trying to create a custom art border for an MS Word document from my > own > graphic. I am trying to send a document to a client, using images that I want him to be able to see, but not access or copy to his own desktop. Is there a way to lock these images / pictures so that he does not have access to copy them? I am using Office 2003

I have created a logo in another program. When I import it, it looks great! I format it to "float" and have no problems moving, etc. My problem is the little circle handles are way bigger than the graphic. Is there a way to make the handles to resize up near the logo? I've already disabled the feature that creates a text box. So why do I still get so much space around my logo. It doesn't help me when I'm placing things nearby to it even if it's "floating". How to turn of create drawing here field

Postby SGVsbG9Nb3Rv » Sat, 17 Mar 2007 07:21:05 GMT

Using Word 2003 SP2. I never encountered this before, but now that I have How
do I turn it off?

When I click on the drawing toolbar (e.g. to add an arrow or a text box or a
line...), a field opens up on the page with the text: Create drawing here.
This is so annoying. I just want to draw on the page, any where freely. When
I manipulate objects I've created, that field also opens up. I guess that is
because some of the objects were created in that field. what the beep. So,
please tell me how to create drawings freely on the page without that field
showing up? I never encountered this before when working with word, until got
a document from the legal team at work. The document forced me to place
drawings and objects in a predesignated field... what a pain.

thx

HelloPhoto. This was the FIRST thing to go when I upgraded to Word 03. I'm
sure there's some good reason for it, but i hate it, too. Tools, Options,
General, and uncheck the Create Drawing panel box (towards the bottom).

I need some help writing a macro to turn off the drawing

Can anyone help?
