Using Microsoft Office Word 2003 with Windows XP. Before I could draw a line across a page by holding down the shift key and underline key for a short time, then hitting the enter key. I would like to know why this no longer works.

You have to have "Borders" checked on the AutoFormat As You Type tab of Tools | AutoCorrect Options. FWIW, you can accomplish the same thing by clicking the Bottom Border button on the Borders palette on the Formatting toolbar. -- Suzanne S.
