When I go to autoformat as you type, and select the option to convert fractions into fraction symbols, Word 2002 will only convert certain fractions such as 1/4, 3/4. It will not convert 2/3 into the fraction symbol. In looking through other support texts I tried some things for Windows 97, but it does not work in 2002. I also had a hint that it could be a font issue, that they will only display certain fraction symbols, but when I look at my font files, none of them have fraction symbols, suggesting the problem is with Word. Can anyone help?

We have a series of documents that are made up of a bunch of numbered paragraphs, subparagraphs, etc. These are long documents, and sometimes you can go 2 or 3 pages of paragraphs between numbering schemes. The problem is, we can get the documents all formatted correctly and all the numbering in order as it should be, save the file, and use it a couple times. Then, for no apparent reason, one day we open the file, print and the numbering scheme changes. Mid document it might start renumbering. Then a bit later it will pick up the numbering scheme again. We've taken the original documents, copied the text, removed all formatting, then went back in and renumbered and formatted the document and saved the new document. Yet, even with the new documents, this problem persists. - 3. reversing the numbers in a list
Greetings, In Word 97 I'm trying to number items in a text box in revese order, ie 4, 3, 2, 1. But all the choices in Bullets and Numbering are for only a traditional order, ie ascending 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Any suggestions? Thanks, Colin - 4. Sequential Numbering in Text Boxes

Hi all, I have Word XP running on Win2k, and i can't work out how to only x-reference the equation number in the text: I insert the equation using Eqn. Editor, and successfully caption it as an equation. However, when i go to x-reference it in the text and select "only label and number" it inserts the number and also the equation itself... Is there a way to only insert the eqn. number, and not the equation itself in the text? Cheers for your time, Manish.
