Repost: Pivot Table - get rid of expand indicators

Recent editions of pivot table have a propery called
DisplayExpandIndicator - and I expected that it would hide the
zillions of + and - expand markers
that are evident in pivot tables. But setting DisplayExpandIndicator
does not do this. What is it supposed to do then? What I am interested
in getting rid of are the spurious + and - markers that appear at
every row and column of a pivot table even when there are no child
cells, ie no point in the markers being shown. They really clutter up
the screen.

Anyone know how to get rid of the expand indicators (show/hide details) in a pivot table view of a query. Damned annoying and they don't seem to do anything useful. Have tried everything to turn them off but nothing works.

4.Native Excel Pivot Table vs OWC Pivot Table Performance
Questions on this issue regarding OWC10.
1) Is the data retrieve more than can be displayed in one
IE Window?
2) When scrolling down or across in IE does it take much
longer the first time and seem relatively quick with
subsequent scrolling back to the same areas (down and
across)?
