Any ideas? Source: Microsoft Office 11 Event ID: 1000 Description: Faulting application winword.exe, version 11.0.8125.0, stamp 45b6910c, faulting module mso.dll, version 11.0.8122.0, stamp 4592f985, debug? 0, fault address 0x0037c2f8 Word application seems to be crashing without any logical reason... I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I have seen this error only on computers running Intel's Core 2 Duo processors... MS Office bundle is installed from the same source, yet only the new computers with the Core 2 processors are reporting this problem!? Need advice on what to upgrade my Works Suite 2004 to. I recently reinstalled it and in the process got a notification that support was about to run out on this product. Not sure if that is correct or not, but I can get Works 8 or Works 2006 (not sure which is the latest) on eBay or I could go for the full Office 2007, but I really do not need anything that is totally business-oriented as I'm retired and at home. it wouldn't let me undo it. I went to close the document and it asked if i
wanted to save changes i said no and opened the file back up and the original
whole document wan't there just the text i'd got the word count on. Is there
any way i can retrieve the lost work.

Do you have an auto-recovery option active? Check Tools->Options->File
Locations and then see if a copy exists there.

3.Can I regain the unsaved temporary file in my computer

Can I regain the unsaved temporary file in my computer. I downoaded a word
file and made changes and clicked save. It got saved in a temporary folder
with a funny name. When searched all documents, that file never exists. How
do I regain my Project File?

4.modify styles - how to reset to originals in Word 2007

I have tried to 'modify' styles of document on the home page - boxes with
'no spacing' 'heading' etc 'change styles'. Totally messed it up and have
ended up with every new word doc that I open the 'return' key takes me to the
bottom of the page, as I type and 'return' again the lines move up but it is
not single line spacing. I would like to reset to the original settings
therefore - I can then adjust just the font or 1 thing at a time and not go
beyond all repair/despair!

Thank you

5.Word 2007 original icon has been modified

Hi everybody,

for some reason my shortcut Word icon has gone and has been replaced with
the Windows generic icon. I tried to suppress this shortcut and recreate
another one, to no avail.

I also tried to right click on this shortcut > Properties but the change
icon button is greyed.

How can I recuperate the original MS Word icon?

I have Vista Ultimate and Office 2007.

Many thks for your kind help.

Brgds
Daniel
