  • 1. recently browsed file to picture shortcuts what happens?
In picture manager, the recently browsed shortcut lists "files" that are empty and have no camera properties and cannot be deleted. If right click, one option is to "Add to my picture shortcuts". When this is done, the file listing name disappears but where does it go? If this is done with the "desktop" listing under "recently browsed" (which also has no camera properties and cannot be deleted), a shortcut is placed in the Picture Manager shortcut listing as expected.

  • 3. Cannot Remove or Reinstall Office
I'm trying to Repair/Reinstall or even Remove Office 2003 Std. However, its looking for a file "olkintlff.msp" that cannot be found. The original install was from and Admin Install Point, which I cannot locate the file there or on the local C:\ drive. If I attempt to run a Detect and Repair it again asks for this file. Does anyone know how I can remove the install and start over?

Outlook and Windows Installer

Postby V2V5cmxlYWRlcg » Thu, 05 Jan 2006 11:04:02 GMT

Two problems:
1. Outlook starts of Windows Installer on download every email from a POP3
server (Earthlink). Outlook doesn't to this on another computer that uses
Office 2003. How can I get rid of the Windows Installer appearing on every
download?

2. Windows Installer pops up from time to time with a request for a
location for the file: 511974.MAINSP3ff.msp Does anyone know what Windows
Installer is looking for? I have searched for the requested file and cannot
find it anywhere. Windows Installer itself has a file similar with
everything the same but the charactere 3 is replaced by 2.

Any ideas on what to do? I have reinstalled Office 2003 multiple times,
removed Windows Installer (but somehow it is still there) and cannot get
either of the effects above to disappear.

5.Outlook and Windows installer problems

I've just instaled Office Pro 2003 and every time I run
Outlook the 'windows installer' box opens - searches for
sometime and then closes. This will continue to happen
time after time and is so frustrating. It never says what
its trying to install and I've now installed all of
Outlook and repaired it many times
