  • 1. Copying Macros
    Hi. I don't know anything about macros so if this is a dumb question, sorry. Can macros be copied from one computer to another, and if so, where are they stored (I think normal.dot)? There's a lady at my office who got a new computer and I'm tired of hearing her complain about having to recreate those things. I'd really appreciate any help so I can pass it on to her.
  • 2. Move to Folder button list expansion
    I'm a big filer of many various emails. I have about 30 folders where I keep things archived. I interchangeably use Apple Mail (via IMAP) and Outlook XP for handling email on a remote exchange server. When I drag an email to a file on Apple's Mail client, folders spring open on hovering and spring closed after I've dropped the email where I want to file it. On Outlook, when I do the same thing, the folders spring up but remain open after dropping the email. Consequently I'm continually expanding my file structure and having to manually close things every few minutes --- very aggravating. So I've begun to use the "Move to Folder" button. However that list is limited to the last ten or so drag destinations. Does anyone know how to expand that list to 25-30 entries, and/or freeze the list (so I can set it to just my most common destinations). All advice will be gladly welcomed with open arms. Tedgy
  • 3. Outlook Changing Date Stamps
    I recieved some emails in my Inbox a few weeks ago and today I decieved to move my email to a public folder but when I did Outlook changed the Recived date to today date but when I open the email it still have the original time staff? Any ideas what could have cause and how to fix so that the email that I moved to the public folder have the right date stamp?

    Hello there. I'm on my works computer and one of my co-workers was messing around in Word and suddenly the whole document was lost and all the fonts where gone, the only font left is Courier 10cpi. The fonts are gone in all office programs but Excel. The document wasn't a normal A4 one, it was the size of a sticker for our sticker printer but now I can't print from it because of this mess, please help me if you can

Where can I find documentation for "Rules In Error" messages? I get a message 
that I do not have sufficient permission for one of my rules to work.  Where 
do I go to find out what to do about it?

2.Change the canned Routing message

menu on the File menu to return the document to its sender."

I do not user the 'Send to' menu, I have the user click a button that runs a 
macro and then routes.  I have tried everything...thanks,

3.Leading Zeros causes rule error message

I'm running Excel 2002 for a spreadsheet to keep track of access codes for a 
security system.  Some of the feilds start with a zero, so I have the cell 
formatted as text.  When I enter the number I'm getting a small green 
triangle in the upper left hand portion of the cell.  When I put my mouse 
over it, I get the message "the number in this cell is formatted as text or 
preceded by an apostrophe."  The only way i can keep the leading zeros is to 
ignore error.  I even get this message if I put any number in that does not 
start with zero.  Does anybody have any ideas on how I can correct this, as 
the entire sheet is almost affected by this.


4.Canned Messages

OK. Here is what I want to do.

I am running Outlook 2003 on Windows XP SP1.  I use MS Word as my
Outlook editor.

I want to create a series of macros and place them on a toolbar that
will be visible when I am in my Inbox.  I want to be able to click on
one of the buttons and have a new message appear, already pre-addressed
to certain individuals.  Each button will create a new message, but
will be addressed to different people.

I do not know diddly-squat about Visual Basic, so I'm hoping there is a
way to do a "record the keystrokes" type macro.  Once the macros are
created, I'm pretty sure I know how to put them on a toolbar; I just
need help creating the macros.

5.Where to find documentation on calendar symbols?

OK this started when I was trying to figure out what the 
re-occurance symbol with a slash through it means. I have 
tried in vian to find a page on microsoft.com, google, 
help files, etc.. that shows me a list of all the 
symbols/icon that appear on a calendar item -- and what 
they mean? What words am I not using in trying to find 
this? This page must exist somewhere? right? 

Will take any help I can get...
